A dearth of beast-race women?

Am I right, that Skyrim, even with its vast modding scene, has a big shortage of female argonian and khajit followers/romances? I don't know how it took me this long to notice that even on the nexus, there's next to nothing.  It's a bit of a shock, considering just how big and sometimes strange and wonderful the mod scene can be.

then you have not looked with the right tags... search for "winged twilight" (race and followers)... and if you are going to look at the vampire-succubus-playstyle mod/blog/club you will see a char just to your liking

Yep, you are right. Beast races are vastly underrepresented as far as mod goes, and it gets worse when we jump to followers/NPCs with story. The only deep and fleshed out beast race character that I know of is Inigo, and while he's awesome, there's isn't any option for romance with him (outside of a SL mod that adds a "Let's fuck" dialogue to him, but that's lame AF). Also he's a male, and I guess you are only after female characters.

M'Rissi seems to include some kind of romance/marriage mechanic, but I've never tried it so I don't know for sure. Also she's your typical anime catgirl with a human head instead of an actual proper Khajiit, but that can be handwaved as lore-friendly with the different Khajiit subspecies may be okay if you are not specifically after anthros in the style of vanilla Khajiits and Argonians. EDIT: I'm not sure, but IIRC from the one and only time I tried the mod a while ago, there's an ingame explanation for her appearance. My point still stands, though.

Outside of that, your best bet is to find one such follower that uses any of the non-beast races and manually edit the mod to change their race to Argonian of Khajiit. Of course, chances are the dialogue will either ignore their race altogether or be intended for their original race, so if you wanted them to somehow acknowledge the fact that they are a beast race during their interactions, then you'll be out of luck.

I don't care what body texture you give them, those "Winged Twilights" are still elves. Elves with scaly skin, but elves nevertheless. Not Khajiit, and not Argonians either, which is what @Danest was asking about.

"Winged twilight follower" gets no hits. But, I'm not really looking for winged twilights (although they do look cool as a playable race.)  I mean, there's characters like Sofia, Recorder, Vilja, Inigo, etc.  Lots of fairly famous follower mod with a of a lot of work put into them.
I just find it interesting that none of the big, voiced companion mods (and there are a lot of them now) are female khajits or argonians.  I don't know how it took me this long to really notice.
Maybe it hurts the throat to do a beast voice that extensively? ;)

There are a few voiced Khajiit and Argonian followers in Interesting NPCs, but possibly beyond them being set up for the vanilla marriage event, they probably don't have any more in-depth romance options.

As for the voice in general, a lot of possibilities can work, it just depends on people being willing to do it, and what someone has in mind for a character.

They are indeed altogether underrepresented, and not just as followers. Sure, they're supposed to be rare, but it seems like a lone female argonian in Skyrim just begs to have a story attached to it, because, why is she here, in a cold, foreign place so distant from and unlike the jungle.
Of course before fallout 4, Bethesda really just didn't bother writing much in the way of personalities for their characters (Compare Lydia's dialogue to Piper, for instance.)  So I'm expecting too much from vanilla Skyrim.
Hell, they pretty much deliberately hand-waved away all of the depth in romance, courtship, and married life in a way that was almost hard to believe.  But I can't help but wonder -- is there a prejudice against argonian/non-argonian relationships?  How does that even...work?  Does culture get in the way of romance?  (I refuse to believe that romance doesn't exist in Skryim, despite the marriage-amulet debacle.)
I prefer argonians to be without breasts, but it's not a big deal, talking magic lizard-people can be whatever their authors say they are, I guess.  Anyway, it's probably not bestiality, but I find it hard to believe that no Nord would be uptight about it.
But I posted this in the non-adult forum just because I think it's possible to address all of this without anything that could be called porn.  Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)
