StableBot Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Was running close on max mods limited so I decided to merge most of followers mods. All the followers seem to be okay, but for some reason, all male and female human body turn invisible (mine included). This is not an invisible clothes problem, picture are taken with "removeallitems". Other races are such as argonians, elves, khajiis and the followers themselves are not effected. I have been using a follower merge before, I just added a few more this time around. Uninstalling the new followers and taking them out of the set doesn't fix the problem. I think it's specifically the normal male body, and the unp7b female body only. Any idea on how I should approach this problem? What does work is I take the merge off entirely, but that defeat the me trying to save space on the list.
worik Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Some NPC mods can't be merged together ... as far as I understood the issue, it's a thing with the used body type. I merge only those, were I know that they rely on the same ressources ... And maybe you have to read the descriptions if they say something about using "different" bodies. Sometimes you have to use the tool "Bodyslide" to regenerate the proper meshes for your setting. Edit: Maybe you try to build your all-in-one step by step. merge the first 2 mods, see if they work add the third, see if that works ... and so on.. leave all ugly ducklings out of your merge.. maybe save them for later and do a second merged mod
RomeoZero Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Yeah, their esp plugin in CK might be referring to the path of their body nifs in specific folders. Example : follower johnny using body from the folder [meshes\xxx ] or [meshes\actor\xxx] , or [actor\character\xxx].

StableBot Posted April 7, 2018 Author Posted April 7, 2018 The followers are not effected by this, only normal NPC and my character. It doesn't make sense to me since all these followers have their own body. They don't change anything in the general texture or mesh. 9 hours ago, worik said: I did that step-by-step thing to crunch my mods from 360+ down to appx. 110 esm/esp's that will be loaded... Just need like 10 slots to test out new armor now and then.
worik Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Try to merge items first, weapon mods, armors ... stuff like that .. it is usually the easiest to do. Location mods might be troublesome if they touch the navmeshes. NPCs and quest mods are often top difficulty.. sometimes impossible

But yes, I have merged other stuff before namely armor and weapon. This NPC merge is a continuation, but I did run into color mismatch before. Not sure how I fixed back then, but yea, I tend to stay away from quest or scripted mods.
