terrorofmorrowind Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Hey Guy's i was messing around with some armors for the old ct77 body mod and i was wondering if it is possible to make them visible on the character WITHOUT needing a base body in it's nif file? I know that mods like devious devices for the nipple, labia and other parts of the body do this so i decided to use the slots they used for their padded bra too (it's 51 (decapitated slot) and 56 (the second garment slot)) but so far no dice. I either i check the body slot in the armor and armoraddon and the body goes invisible (or changes into another body shape that is different from my own) or the pauldrons just remain invisble without a change which means that i'm using a body slot that isn't relevant for that space on the body. The reason why i'd like to do it this way is because converting said pauldrons to the body i use is too complex and time consuming for me to understand. (i'm using an older version of cosio btw) Here are the edited files that i used so that you can get a better understanding of what i'm trying to do. sexypauldrons.rar
myuhinny Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I looked and thought it was your problem. You must change the slot in the _0 _1 nif as well as the armor and armor addon in the .esp. Right now you have it set to SBP_32_BODY which makes it think you have a body in the nif so it doesn't let you use your body and instead uses the body inside the nif which isn't there so you get no body. SBP_32_BODY is only used if there is a body in there if there isn't a body inside the nif then use something else so that it uses your players body on equip. You can use other slots if needed I usually use the amulet or tail slot but it all depends on what mods you use and if any use those slots or not. Spoiler

I think i'm gonna close this thread now since i already found a "solution".

Hide contents Oh, so it's inside the NIF that i have to change it! Thank you so much for answering. Can i just edit it by renaming that line or do i need to do something else too. I saw someone mentioning something to do in tesvedit but i don't know what he meant by that.
myuhinny Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 @terrorofmorrowind Thougt I posted this in my post as well. You must change it in both the nifs AND the slots in the .esp for the armor and armor addon all 4 must all match. So if the nifs have the body slot selected then the slots in the .esp for the armor piece and armor addon must also match the slots that are in the nif or problems will happen. If you need the a different slot then change it to what you want in all 4 places. Use the CK (creation kit) to change the slots for the armor then save as to overwrite the nif.
