Fixadent Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 The recent update for SSE completely broke SKSE64, and it's not likely that SKSE64 will be updated again any time soon. How do I revert back to the old version if I'm running it through steam? Is this even possible? Or am I going to have to wait 6 months to year for SKSE64 to be updated again?
Guest Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 New version is already on silverlock. But reports are the dll's used by skse dependent mods are causing CTD so we may actually be waiting for those mods to be update. It is possible to roll back, video posted over at nexus by one of the users: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yBauT74be4

Right-click on the game you want to disable the updates for and pick the "properties" option. In the new window at the top, press the "updates" tab. Disable automatic updates and and there you have it.
Guest Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 Or do this, it might be a bit daunting at first, but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. You don't need to put the whole string, only download_depot <appid> <depotid> [<target manifestid>] (you don't need the <> or the [])

vsuamier Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 The new version break (CTD when starting) RaceMenu for me (not that important atm), if I disable it I can load my game. Also physics (CBP) did not work on my CBBE (including vanilla clothes). Also many other mods do not work for me. Best is to stay away from it for now.
Falloutersexy Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I also have the very same problem, the game will start for about 2 seconds and will CTD. Even disabling ALL of my mods didnt solve the problem. Could it be another problem that i might be having, or the newest SKSE version is problematic indeed.
duzellx Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 i find this irritating that each update on bethsda side has to keep breaking stuff, cant they modify the game without causing headaches for users personally , Itried the new 20007 skse64 and i can get it to almost start , but then ctd , disabling skse64 mods is about the only way to get it to function so looks like no skyrim for me till this is fixed
scipher99 Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 you can always roll-back the version press win+R, paste: steam://nav/console in steam console, paste: download_depot 489830 489833 7780040377772731640 then get the .exe from steamapps/content/app_489830/depot_489830/SkyrimSE.exe drop into root folder of skyrimSE done.
