Constant Sexout CTD Upon Loading

Hey guys

 

Just finally got back up and online again since my move and day 1 already running into problems. In short, I'm CTD after a game loads in. This is what I know so far;

 

1. Disabling all Sexout related modes to do a clean save works. Game loads and plays fine without any Sexout assets enabled.

 

2. I've tried to half-split the sexout esps with no luck. Even with all ESP disbaled, I still CTD.

 

3. CTD occurs the moment the save game completes its load where the game world renders. In some cases, I catch a glimps of the game world for a moment before the crash.

 

4. CTD occurs on old saves, new clean saves and new character creation.

 

5. I made it a point to update everything I use based off the Plugin List thread. NG & SCR are updated to the Sept 9th update as well as the most recentr NVSE extender version.

 

6. I tried rolling back to an older Sexout.esm from the archive hoping to find the one I was using, but I havent found one that works and I didnt note which one I was using before the update overwrite. It was easily from July though.

At this point, I'm open to any suggestions because the alternative is yet another fresh reinstall and to be honest, if the probelm is an unseen conflict between an ESP and an ESM I use, the probelm will likely persist through to the new install, therefore wasting my time. So any help is appriciated. I hate posting about such a broad and generic probelm, but I can't see what I might be missing.

are you absolutely sure of that? cuz its not just the 2 extender dlls you put in plugins folder, it is also the base nvse files.

I had a similiar problem because I had the base nvse instead of pride's modified ones.

Yes, I'm using NVSE Version B13 updated on Aug 25th.

Just a few things - not sure if it's any help:

- are you actually loading with the nvse loader? Could be an easy oversight on a fresh install. (Or, if you have FNV4GB, it has to load with the FNV4GB exe that comes with the NVSE-FNV4GB compatibility thingy.)

- are you using astymma's skeleton? I think failure to use it only causes crash on sex begin, but who knows.

I think it's because Sexout goes looking for the save/load hooks and they aren't there, but as I have no idea how NVSE works save the odd bits picked up by reading the threads don't take my word on that. It's possible the issue is being caused by something else, but if it is than it is an issue no one has yet experienced.

I was so fucking hung up on trouble shooting esp and esm conflicts, I never stopped to think about the one thing they both had in common. Both of what you guys said (the bolded parts) made me question what if NVSE was borked from the last install. Turned out that was exactly what the issue was.

 

I was in fact using all of Prides latest and greatest, but something was wrong with the NVSE backbone, if that makes sense.

 

I re-installed NVSE normally with the standard extender (my not have needed too but it didnt take but a second). After that I added Prides stuff in and that was it. Fixed. I dont understand what went tits up in the NVSE works, but there it is.

 

This is why I like to have another set of eyes on a probelm, because if you are looking in the wrong direction, you'll never catch what is staring at the back of your fucking head the whole time.

Had the same problem, been thinking for like 2 days what the fuck is wrong, removing all of the sexout esps and esms one by one, still didnt help. Then after reading this, I realised that it was my dumb ass which screwed up.

 

For y'all out there who have the same problem, make sure you download the BETA NVSE from the official page, not the latest, but BETA. That was my problem.
