How do I make followers wear modular outfits?

I am trying to get followers to wear armor from here

choices include UFO (Ultimate Follower Overhaul), AFT (Amazing Follower Tweaks), EFF (Extensible Follower Framework), FLP (Follower Live Package).

 

as for which one to use, that will come down to a personal choice

 

UFO - has not been updated in a long time, but a lot of people use it with no problem (when i tried i has issues, that may or may not have been related to it)

 

AFT - very immersive, almost all controls for it are thru dialogue in game (the version i use lets me have up to 5 followers at a time and "remembers" 32 per game)

 

EFF - if you go thru a lot of different followers in a single game this would be a better choice. it "remembers" more than UFO or AFT do for a single game (over 100).

 

FLP - best used as an addition to one of the others (it can work alone though), but it has a steeper learning curve than any of the others (but it does allow you to do

        things the others do not.  for example - you can have any follower "sing" in game with it if it is set that way)

 

you will have to read about them (or try them in game for a bit) to see which would suit you best.

 

if you try them in game - only try 1 on a new game at a time (other than FLP it can be safely added to the others).  if you switch which you are trying you will have to 

start a new game (not a "cleaned" save) due to the fact that once it is in it affect the game from that point forward and cannot be fully "cleaned" any other way.
