Guest Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Hi guys! This isn't technically a request, or maybe it is.. Uh, I was wondering.. I have the height mod for my sims, and I want to make some OC specific poses for my couples but one is a lot taller than the other and whenever I have the two male models in Blender, do the pose and put it ingame, it's always wrong. How can I make sure that it'll work better, without having to make them the same height? Spoiler These poses are just two random ones I found on tumblr, but that's the height difference.. How can I make sure they are kept that way?
mrrakkonn Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 I'm currently considering using height sldiers again in my game, the one by Godjul over at MTS. And as part of that I am reworking a number of poses I made a while back when I was using an older height slider. This is Male-Female though, but many of the poses may work for your purpose as well. I'll probably be done working over the poses some time this sunday. It's made with a male sim with the slider (the first one, heightslider1) set to +75 and a female sim set to -100 (if you decide on +0 as being roughly 5'7", which is average male height in the US, then that makes them about 6'2" and 5'2" respectively) Spoiler Posing two sims of different height together creates a number of problems, caused, I think, by the game taking care to have a sim's feet on the ground no matter their height. I get around this by, when separating the poses into male and female poses to import into a clip pack, by setting the scale on b_root_bind back to 0 for both of them and then moving them up so that their feet are on the floor (this shift is often the same, if you didn't rotate b_root_bind much, as the scaling applied to the sim). There will often be some shifting required in the other axes as well, the extent of which seems tied to how you manipulated b_root_bind. I usually go into game and see how much I have to shift them (I usually only do this for one of them after making srue both of them aren't floating or below the floor or anything like that). e: Oh yeah, don't assign scaling to key frames, that will preserve the height difference. Otherwise the sims posed will be scaled by the pose.
