Veladarius Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 So I thought the Stingwing was a mutated dragonfly, turns out I was wrong because they actually exist. As it turns out their 'stinging' is how they mate. If they find something like Bloat Flies I'm done with nature. Scorpionflies

dharvinia Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botfly There are many things in nature we do not know about.

Worse than that, they breed like Aliens. They catch a spider, lay eggs into it, the eggs hatch and the larva eat the spider from the inside. And they know to avoid major organs so the spider stays alive as long as possible. Mother Nature is a scary toothless hag, thankfully we've almost killed her
Sagebrush61 Posted February 17, 2018 Posted February 17, 2018 Bloatflies are actually pretty similar to real world Bot flies. They lay eggs on animals or in some cases the eggs are ingested. The larvae then start moving through the body eating as they go. There are horse and cattle infesting Bot flies in the Western United States and there is at least one tropical species which can feed on humans and victims say that it is very painful. So yeah, nature is brutal.
