[CK2]Multiple wives or concubines without dlc?

If I edit the 00_religions.txt and write the max_wives or max_consorts textlines in, it works for the AI, but not for the player.

 

The "Secondary wives"/"Concubines" box isn't there(for my character) and I can't marry a second wife or make woman into my concubines.

Even if I kill my character and switch to my heir, the box just vanishes and I lose all concubines / wives.

 

So is it even possible to have multiple wives or concubines without the "Sword of Islam"/"Rajas of India" DLC?

Per game mechanics No, no you cannot. Also its old gods that gets you concubines not Rajas of India.

 

Without DLC you cannot have multiple wives or concubines unless you mod in a similar system.

Thank you, for the answer! I would've bought the wrong dlc.

It's a pity that you have to buy a DLC for that. Now its time to wait for the next sale.
