C5Kev's Dragonscale Drops!

SEX!   Now that I have your attention, hello folks!  Many of you may be familiar with my Tribal Cloth Dragonscale Rextex mod. This mod is based off of that, but with a serious difference. While the aforementioned mod is nice armor, this mod has some big-time Ultra-Sexy armor that you can get when killing a dragon. To Hell with "The Voice". I want some good shit when I kill a dragon!

This mod features my Ultra-Low, Mega-Micro Armor , along with some new, super-sexy "slouch" boots that were created by the talented Krista (from the awesome Lady Revenant outfit). Armor is distributed based on your character's level and a "luck-of-the-draw". The higher your character's level, it'll be tougher to get the more exotic armors. But for the most part, you should be able to beat the shit out of Miraak, Harkon, Lurkers or any of the other Skyrim assholes, all-the-while strutting around in some seriously sexy threads!

Can you get all the armors without cheating? That is, without using AddItemMenu or console commands? I doubt it, but give it a shot!  Be the first on your block to actually have Legendary Dragonscale armor!   What a (meaningless) thrill!   If you already have my Tribal Cloth Dragonscale Rextex mod installed, not to worry. This mod shouldn't interfere with it.

Simply install the mod. Sorry CBBE users, this is for UUNP body types.  Build the new armors in BodySlide by selecting the "C5Kev's Dragonscale Drop UUNP" group, check the "Build Morphs" and batch-build the armors for your body preset.

Hopefully there are no issues. But if so, please let me know because I don't really know what I'm doing. That's it and thank you to all the great modders making this fantastic stuff.  You guys continue to push Skyrim over the top of any other game.

The original Tribal Cloth mod was created by Dazi.

Again, the killer slouch boots were created by Krista.

DO NOT upload this or any of my other mods onto other sites or utilize my assets without permission please.

Probably not a question you want to answer, but I have worked on making this mod work on SE. Optimized nif files, attempted to optimize textures (may still be the problem) and done the other necessary steps. Wondered if there is something in this I'm missing because I can get the items and the boots equip, but the armor CTD the game. Not trying to rework and upload this, it's for my own personal use, but any chance of a SE version or at least a texture fix. Nif optimizer keeps reporting the texture dimensions have to be able to be divided by 4 (not sure why that's an issue), but that's the only problem I can find. They build perfectly in BodySlide, so I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. Awesome work btw.

I only messed with SE after it originally dropped and didn't really care for the way characters looked, plus no HDT.  Game itself looked OK, but after getting Oldrim running good and using 4K textures, using SE makes no sense. An SE version is doubtful.

Anyway, the textures are only 1024 or 2048 and don't know what there is to "optimize". Optimize what? (you mean compress to lousier images?) - and don't believe there's anything to "fix".  256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 - textures ARE divisable by 4, so none of this makes sense to me. I'm having a hard time believing that the textures are your issue, but what do I know?

Sounds like the CTD problem is totally nif related  - perhaps HDT or skeleton-related type stuff, but I'm guessing. I've never looked at the differences between Oldrim and SE nifs - and one could build armor fine in BS and still crash in game if there's a nif issue.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

Long time checking back on an answer. Which HDT do you mean btw? Heels or Armor? That could be my problem since I've only made the HDT heels work on my SE.

Armor, my friend. Armor. Have to have the jiggly bits you know.  :)

I tried a bypass to HDT I found online since CK keeps crashing on me as I edit, so no luck on my end with that. I have to ask (and will accept no gracefully), any chance you may make a non-HDT version?

Dude, I understand you'd like this for SSE, but as I said months ago, I'm afraid that I don't want to devote the time or have the desire to make a non-HDT version.

looking at the textures they are all 1024x1014 i think thats whats affecting SSE conversion as its not a square  (top.dds and top_n.dds for each variant)

Yep, resized them to 1024x1024 and no more CTD

Well, that was pretty lame of me, wasn't it?

Lame of you?  Like hell.  Lame of Bethesda, definitely.

They had a product (Skyrim) which accepted non-square textures and broke it so it would not accept such textures AND then didn't bother to give anyone the slightest indication of WHY their code crashes.  A simple log entry somewhere telling why the code decided to stop running would do wonders for the modding world.

"They had a product (Skyrim) which accepted non-square textures..."  I have to admit, that's rather shocking, isn't it?  Yeah, I'm lame. Hey, they looked square.  :)  Guess I've gotta fix it now that you've pointed it out. Damn...
