coombs
So i've recently done a complete wipe of my skyrim game, uninstalled everything. now i have things back the way i want mostly, except for one thing. all the npc armor have the same shape as the armor im wearing. i dont remember it beeing this way before i did the reinstall, and so i ask, is there a way to make the other npc's have their armor fitted to them? i did some googling on the issue, but got mostly vaugue or very old answers that led nowhere. i realize it might not be possible, but if it is help would be appreciated. ps. this mostly concerns the bijin npc's Link to comment
CPU
If you have a specific body type (CBBE, UUNP,etc.) then you may what to run the "Body Slide Outfit studio" conversion for the armors. Link to comment
coombs
yeah i use uunp, and i have already build all my armors (including morphs) so everything fits my character perfect, the problem is that, lets use lydia as an eksampel, her armor has the same "fit" as mine, but her nude body looks alot different in proportions. CPU
Probably the mod adds a specific body, in this case there is almost nothing to do. Except fix the mod itself. Link to comment

You can't (and never could) have two different sizes of the same armor, unless you make changes within a specific armor's .esp. Lydia will look the same in the armor you made for yourself because it's the same armor you made for yourself. Yet her naked body can look different than yours because she may be at a different weight (her's is 100 I think). Default body meshes are located in "\meshes\actors\character\character assets". If you use Bijin NPCs, then the body meshes are in "\meshes\actors\character\Bijin NPCs " and they use game default armor locations. As an example, you make new daedric armor and it sends the mesh files to "\data\meshes\armor\daedric" ...and parts have a "_0" and "_1" weight suffix - basically 0 to 100 and BodySlide morphs between the two to come up with your body shape. That's it. So one can't have two different sizes of the same armor. If you use a custom race / character, your body meshes are located elsewhere. When using BodySlide, one has to hold down "CTRL" + click when building armor, which sends the new meshes to "Data\CalienteTools\BodySlide". You then have to move the new armor meshes to where ever your custom character's armor meshes are located. The only thing you can do is make / give specific armor(s) to specific characters if you want them to look different size-wise. Bijin NPCs all share the same body and then have specific folders for their hair and eyes. If you want one of them to have the same armor as you, but at a different size, you'd have to modify / or add to the Bijin NPCs .esp for that character's armor. Link to comment
Frankfranky
If you open up, in your example, Bijin Warmaidens, in TES5Edit, open up NPC character, rclick Lydia, click copy as overide into select New File give your new esp a name like Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour say yes when it asks you to add masters find your new "Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour" esp in your mod list (left column) open NPC character. rclick Lydia in the right window scroll all the way down to near the bottom and find DOFT - Default outfit. (it will say PlayerHousecarlOutfit [OTFT:something] ctrl click this to open it up at the bottom of the left window your outfit file will be highlighted from the Outfit section of Skyrim.esm rclick this and say copy as new record into give it a new name like "Lydia's_armour" click the check box next to your new esp "Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour" say yes to any masters now, if you close and open your new esp "Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour" (by using the little plus sign in a box) you will see a new outfit entry. open that and you will see "Lydia's_armour" in the right window at the bottom you will see INAM - Items and a list of everything she is going to wear click once on the first item, a little pause, click again, a drop down mark will appear. click this an choose a new item. or you can just start typing and it will search for you. you can add anything here you like. armor, jewelry, high heels, (not weapons) if you need more slots just right click in an empty space and say add. then click the null it will put in and add some more stuff (edit - the kinda important bit I forgot) now go back to your new esp "Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour", open it up, and click on Lydia again. scroll down and find DOFT again (make sure you are in the far right column that has your esp's name at the top. rclick this to edit it. change it to your new armour reference. you can just type in the hex code, or click and start typing "Lydia's_Armour" and it will find it for you. now you are done (end edit) When you are done click the x in the top right corner to close tes5edit. it will ask you to save "Lydia_and_her_cool_new_armour" activate your new esp and you are done. Lydia will now wear what you want her to wear, by default, and, you haven't changed any of your other mods. You have created an override. So if you don't like it for any reason, all you have to do is deactive your new esp. You can put anything you want in here. If you want to build a special armor shape, just add it exactly the same way. Sigh. I hope that is what you were asking about and I didn't just type all of that for nothing .... Link to comment

Other people may find it really useful. Link to comment
