Roarke Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 (edited) This mod doesn't replace vanilla posters in the base game. But there is a way to do it. Those who want a replacer version, you'll have to create a folder structure in your Fallout 4 data to overwrite the ones in the texture ba2 file. These are the posters you'll be replacing. First, make sure these lines are in your fallout4custom.ini file. [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= Second, in your Data folder, make a folder path like this: Textures/interiors/Vault/Vault111 And third, rename the posters you want to use from this mod and place them in the Vault111 folder. I used this set from the non-adult version. The posters don't have to use matching damaged versions, I just like consistency. REMEMBER: Only use the diffuse files (dds files that end with d). Trying to use the normal (dds files that end with n) and the specular (dds files that end with s) will cause problems. Bethesda likes to reuse assets, some vault posters use the same normal and specular. Someone could attempt to create a proper replacer mod, and also add more posters in every vault, but that would mean they'd have to deal with mod conflicts. This way is safe but not perfect. Bonus in-game images: Spoiler Vault 95 - Rehabilitation Experiment Vault-Tec added contraceptives to the drug ban. Birth control isn't addicting except when Vault-Tec says it is. ...whatever. This gunner enjoys working beside this government sponsored poster. Vault 114 - Social Collapse Experiment Right before meeting Valentine. A recruitment poster in the commons area. First thing the residents would've seen before occupying the vault. Vault 118 - Class War Experiment Inside the guard room near the entrance. For automated security? The residents don't care for these posters or science. They're all self-entitled robots anyway. One of them is still keeping the dream alive though. Vault 75 - Eugenics Experiment Stay healthy and ready with a purpose. A reminder before the combat simulation. Wait. This vault housed kids from a middle school... Well, umm... Vault 81 - Virology Experiment The Overseer kept these despite everything. Very patriotic. Wait... is that the class room? Vault-Tec is known to be an amoral corporation. So, that means this is lore friendly, right? Anyway, replace these posters at your own risk. Edited October 12, 2023 by Roarke 1
