I hope the new DLC will have goblins like the ones i saw in a video a few days ago. I miss goblins from Oblivion.

yeah me too ^^

What I have read around the net its about necromancers and zombies.

Would be awesome if zombies would return :3

I think they will make the goblin dlc together with spear weapons.

There was a video from the Skyrim summer jam with stuff the crew made just for fun and in this video you can see goblins with spears. This would be a good combination to bring in the spears as weapons ^^

i hope they put in the zombies from oblivion. i don't want to see more draugr, though. they are getting old (no pun intended).

Well, considered that we're all using PC here and there's a mod that already lets you build a house, I'll pass on this. The novelty doesn't really attract me. I know there's other things in the DLC but they're ho-hum too. Unlike Dawnguard, I won't be waiting impatiently for the 30 days, nor will I go out and buy it either...

Holy crap. This is Dovahkiin: the retirement years. And it's all GameJam stuff! They did beef up the house and gave the butler some flesh, the rest will come as-is from the GJ. If it was a mod, it'd be awesome. But they are Bethesda! They have the fucking source code! I'm VERY disappointed.

because they finally mannaged to troll MS and their goddamn exclusive content, and probbally they will release a new Update fo CK with both source codes for Dawnguard and Heathfire After the second DLC release

Beth is learning with Valve how to troll MS

child adoption mod has been out for awhile. so has build your own house mod and rts for skyrim that builds your own town. and were all familiur with the spouces can live everywhere mod im sure. so to me it looks like beth is just trolling mod sites grabbing different mods and merging them and saying oh we did this now pay us for it. from a pc stand point its bs. from a console one its great as they cant use mods. but if there making console versions of pc mods for consoles what are they doing for pc users now?

Posted

I will have to point out, there is a larger revenue for companies when they sell for console so from a business point of view its better for them to port for consoles first then later port it for pc.

Adopt A Kids! I'm already sold I'm gonna raise me some dragonborn twins. :D maybe your house will also get visited by dragon attacks, and I just know it there will be unusual events too.

You guys do know any mod which is created using the Creation Kit is the property of Beth right? All the ESPs and ESMs are theirs but all custom made meshes are yours.

I very much doubt child adoption and breeding is going to be in it when its finished. They would most likely have to raise the game up to a 18+ if they do that and to be honest its not Beth's style. After all a mod like that would be to great for them to make.

Adoption isn't an explicit act, though. I see no reason why they wouldn't release it. Frankly if they were they scared of the pedo crowd they'd've never included children to start with. Think about it; there's nothing the console crowd can do to turn it explicit, and it doesn't do anything pedo modders haven't done already a hundred times over and probably much better executed mechanically.

Animal breeding will probably be nothing more explicit than it is in, say, Minecraft. Or any other children's game that involves farming and animals.

Dawnguard: fight vampires, become one. My reaction: Looks cool.

Hearthfire: build a house, customize it, tend a garden, raise kids. My reaction: OH MY GOD YES!

Okay, so I do play it on console (i've got a desktop that's been a nice paperweight for a year now and a laptop that won't even do Oblivion), so this, as well as some of the in depth features like dialogue and interactions with the kids, beehives, and actually getting to build the house instead of just download one (no knock to the fantastic house mods and modders intended) just gets me in the right way. Oh, and trophy rooms=hell yes!

However, i really hope I get to be a horrible parents, get the kids to worship Daedra, pickpocket, stuff like that!

This DLC is made for console users who cant use any modifications. So complaining about it is a bit ignorant. What would you say if you couldnt mod and then get stuff to create something inside the game... you would like it. And by the way. We get more stuff we can work with. The already existing house building mod will never be so well made like the one in the hearthfire dlc.

There is a word for this mod : pointless. It resumes everything.

Well, I'm fighting to get the money in order to buy Dawnguard but I will surely never try to do the same for Hearthfire...

Hey, Bethesda !!! You want to create a family's mod ? Start with a romance first !

I can see why bethesda put this out, theres' mods like this for the PC that have huge fan interest, and the consoles cant get mods, put a similar thing on the consoles = profit

I must be the only person who sees this as a significant addition.

Yes it's really aimed more at consoles, yes it'll rake in cash that way, yes it's a bit expensive for what it offers. But it's also a fantastic step towards actual roleplaying in this action roleplaying game. It takes an existing idea, player housing, and expands the hell out of it using ideas popular among the modding community. Everybody's saying, "oh it's useless, mods do this," but that's a lousy excuse for a developer to not do something.

your completely right. roleplaying games ment to get you into another world and the life of another person. So whats wrong about being able to build your own house. I think its actually fun. I mean after a month or so, we can do this almost in every corner in tamriel and maybe build your own city and stuff like that. Most people only see the negative things on little add-ons like this, but forget about the possibilities we get through this content....

I think housing mods will benefit greatly from this DLC. Though there are many nice mods done by the community, they don't have the tools and ressources available that Bethesda has. Modders that want to create new housing mods will find tons of stuff in this DLC that they can use to create even better mods.

Personally, I'm sold. Can't get enough Skyrim!

Well, for PC users, it really isn't too significant considering there are already mods that do the exact same things as the showcased content for the DLC (Build Your Own House mod + Adopt a child mod). So, why pay money for DLC when you can just download a few mods and get the exact same effect? I'm not suggesting developers do nothing, rather they just do something more worthwhile. Like spears. Where are my goddamned spears? And romance, too. That'd be great.

At least xbox 360 users will be happy about this DLC. I have a feeling PS3 will get shafted by Bethesda somehow.

I'm pretty excited about this. I have Skyrim on PC, but I didn't get it until after I had already put an assload of time into my PS3 characters. Of course, since I play on PS3 it's anyone's guess as to when it will actually come out.

Maybe because you get a much better scripted tool to do mods. The mod is good as well, but the DLC stuff is much better scripted. I cant understand why people complain about something that makes modding better....
