RallyBunny Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I installed the Elin mod and now every time I sprint, the game immediately crashes. Also does it sometimes when not sprinting. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas for a fix? I need help! Gotta be a lil bunny girl! x3
myuhinny Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Only thing I can think of is do you have a compatible skeleton installed? Have you tried reinstalling it and seeing if that is what is causing it?
RallyBunny Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 I have the skeleton that was recommended installed. I have reinstalled all of my mods and it had no effect.
myuhinny Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Not sure the only time I had my game crash when sprinting was when I had a mod that gave me boots named the the computer crashing boots of speed these boots let you run from one end of the map to the other in less then 2 or 3 minutes but you better have TGM turned on or you'll never make it there alive because the smallest bump will now kill you at that speed. But I got the bright idea to give a set of them to Lydia and not only that but I also increased her size till she was 50ft tall. So I took off running and then stopped and turned around waiting to see her come flying to me at super human speed unfortunately she took one step and the game was like uh uh fuck you and crashed to desk top. I also crashed at times using the boots sometimes it was because I forgot to turn TGM and I'd hit a bump and then start doing the death roll on impact.
PsychoMachina Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 @RallyBunny did you install the Elin voice pack update (ElinRace Voice Complete v2)? If you did not... Reinstall the Elin main pack which will also reinstall the basic Elin voice files. If you did... Check for the following file and delete it. "ElinRaceVoice.esp" If you see this file, do not delete it, it's from the v2 voices update. "ElinRace_Voice.esp" If you are still crashing when sprinting, reinstall the v2 voices update. I have reason to believe the game is trying to play the voice file for the sprinting action, but can't find it or it's corrupted so it crashes the game. How do I know? During the process of making the v2 update, my game would crash everytime my Elin swung a weapon which played the associated voice file.
RallyBunny Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 I did install the voice update. Both of those files were there. I removed "ElinRaceVoice.esp" and reinstalled v2 voices. Am still crashing.
PsychoMachina Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 What other mods, besides Elins, did you install. It could be something a bug or conflict with another mod.
RallyBunny Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 It was the voice thing. I removed the v2 voice and reinstalled the main elin mod. That seems to have fixed it. I tried removing other mods one at a time and seeing if that would fix it, but none of my other mods had any effect. Thanks for the help! ^-^
PsychoMachina Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Good to hear. The game tried to play a voice file that was not there or became corrupted. Just so you know, the voices for the Dawnguard and Dragonborn shouts will be silent now.
