It's technically a mod, but installs standalone. Steam will ding you if you don't have DD, but I dunno if that's a hard lock or not, since BR is an entirely separate install. 1

Vortex works, but it does not work very well. I would recommend against it. For the most part, there is no mod manager for DD that I am aware of, but if a mod is properly written, conflicts should be few and far between. Mods are loaded from bottom to top, with duplicate files from lower mods being overwritten by files in higher mods. Conflicts tend to occur either when a higher mod changes some behavior from a lower mod, which the lower mod still tries to use. This is very rare since most mods are either doing this intentionally, making it very obvious that mod X is supposed to modify mod Y, or the mod is introducing new content that is named differently and won't overwrite of be overwritten by other content. Of course, this is not always the case. In larger, more comprehensive mods, many changes could be made of the core functionality of the game. In these larger overhaul mods, you are more likely to run into these sorts of conflicts, but it makes less sense to have multiple overhaul mods at the same time. DD does not lend itself well to an automated mod manager unless modders and the mods themselves adhere to some hierarchical standard that no authority has created, and the community has not decided on. I can't find them anywhere. Also, anyone know if there are some less.. "thick" versions of Xel's classes? Some of them have way too much cake for my tastes (Looking at you, Graverobber!)

You could manipulate them yourself in PS or Gimp. 1

Or is there one already? there are basically no dd2 mods that i know of that add characters in any sense like we have em for dd1, just cause of how the game is. I think there are multiple baby threads on dd2 already but untill we get modding support who knows man

Hero skins work, except for a handful that got a new sprite, so you need to set those moves to use an existing sprite. Monster skins... well. None of the vanilla monsters return, so you'd need to approximate replacements from the vanilla cast, but it's 'theoretically' the same thing. Town mods... It's doable, but ideally you'd want to change them up to help fit their new professions. Custom heroes work, assuming they have Riposte. If they don't, you need to give them a riposte attack in their data file. Easy. What else... UI mods should work, I think? Just, out of the box? ...Probably. ...LL is just no, of course. The amount of work to port it over, and it wouldn't cover everything... MAYBE you could port the standalone bosses to appear for lulz, but the actual core of the mod is just... a bit much, yeah?

That image was an old joke pic someone made; I think it popped up right around the time the original omenseeker artist went nuclear on the steam workshop harassing anyone who made edits to their stuff. That said a year or so back I picked up the concept and created full versions of the slightly smaller and flat edits. You can find the download links back on page 222. 1

(Thanks for that btw. - it helped greatly) It's been working out fine for normal classes. But now i'm trying to port the Lilith class onto the shieldbreaker. Mostly it worked, until i ran into the defend sprite - which is a transformation one. I've used spineconverter to turn the .skel into a .Json and then edited her "death_etherealness_b" and "defend_etherealness_b" into just the generic "death" and "defend". It solved the crash issue i had and actually used the correct sprite. But it's way too big and i have no idea how to fix that. Does anybody have an idea how to solve that problem? Reveal hidden contents Dragonbones can get confused when converting something from Spine, and can goof up the sizes. It's annoying, but salvagable (ususally) by using the shadow as a guide for how big things should be, remembering that both get resized by the same amount. Take the easy way out. Use the 'display_modifier: .anim_override (Formname)' trick to just make it work.
