"Sexy fallen town" this is a mod made by me in which a new location for fighting is added, a city in which all enemies are fallen heroes. "Complex compulsions" a mod in which negative quirks are changed with the addition of buffs corresponding to these quirks. All mods are optimized to work with "lustiest lair" mod in which I made changes like for example changed occultist to hentai_occultist so he don't spawn in town.

ok after going back through and catching up on the thread, is it just not a good idea to directly change gamefiles with files from mods lmao, because i just changed the fuck out of my base game and only use mods for skeleton changing things.

Is Xelsword ever going to do anything with the concepts they keep posting? Or are they just for fun / "if I made a monster mod, this is what they would look like"?

Xelsword plans to do all heroes and all monsters. He is just taking a break after from making full hero classes after a whole year of doing nothing else but that.

That being said, making these concepts is working in advance, so when it comes to making enemies he doesn't have to start from scratch.

They're drawing these concepts to fight burnout while doing things in order.

The Arbalest and Musketeer are the last two heroes they haven't touched, and once they're done... Town buildings, I think, then Monsters.

I believe the only town building he hasn't done yet is the Guild Hall, though.

Do you mean there are more mods for the buildings apart form Jef's mod of the blacksmith? The NPCs in town are one thing but the buildings rarely get a change through their upgrades.

No, I meant the people IN the buildings. The characters, yeah?

...There are also more upgrades to the buildings themselves. Alcor's camping trainer, Alcor's statue, I think dookie has the level 1 stage coach and level 0 camping trainer (before it is unlocked)...

Negative. The FX is strange, and if done improperly, new-skeletoned pieces disappear.

Anaertailin drew a version of the Maw, and Dan found that removing the transformation FX stopped the Maw from vanishing...

But the other pieces are still stock and you'd be giving up the transformation animation for 1 out of 4 pieces to be redrawn.

Someone would need to really know what they were doing to fix it. I don't know if Baroo changed the skeleton for his black-and-white panda replacement, so it 'might' be an example of such being done correctly...

I'm not sure exactly what I did wrong, but I downloaded Dans sexy fallen heroes, yet this one seems to be without a texture, yet I can't for the life of me find it among the files. Don't suppose anyone has a fix?

I do plan to make them into actual mods, yes. I am making the concepts now primarily because I want to have the enemy designs figured out some time before I actually start working on the mods, it's not usually until my second or third iteration of a design until I am happy with it, and I will probably tweak all of these designs to some degree before I make the mods, and it is better if I can spend some time away from them first.

 

I am also making them to fight burnout, but it is not the primary reason.

The Guild, the Nomad Wagon, the Jeweler and the Statue remain. I intend to do those after Musketeer and Arbalest.

 

After I am done with the hero classes I will also periodically go back and touch up some of my older mods between working on enemies, a lot of them don't really stand up to my current standards, Crusader in particular.

Missing PNG file. That's an Occultist's silhouette.

I redownloaded and re-installed the Sexy Fallen Heroes mod, but the texture is still blank, so I have no idea what else might be broken about it.

Either the .pngs got renamed and the game can't see them, which isn't impossible, or they're missing entirely.

Look for Occultist enemies and take a peek at their /anim folder.

If you're really stuck, activate the Debug output. The game's console will tell you the exact file path it's looking for when you load a map, and maybe when the Occultist enemy appears, too.

So, after having a digthrough, and changing out the mod order, it seems the main source of issues is the Lustiest Lair mod, surprisingly, since Lustiest Lair doesnt have a dedicated texture set for the Occultist, while the Fallen Heroes mod does, I'll see if I can't just override the animations from Fallen with the ones in Lustiest. Thanks for the tip on the debug.

Edit: Tried to replace the anim files for it, but it just spit out the same missing texture error, so, that ones a rip.
