Darkening Demise Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I took out the tintmask folder like usual to avoid the red forehead issue. But now for some reason all females when removing the folder have the dark face bug in the CK and export their facegen data with it. Not sure what to do. So I fixed that issue but not the forehead being red. I moved the tintmask folder yet its still there in the CK.
Gnafron Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Do you use, by any chance, optimized vanilla textures ?

Gnafron Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Â Do you use, by any chance, optimized vanilla textures ? This? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57353/? Â Â Yep, these ones. Oddly these textures packs make NPCs' heads grey in CK but absolutely normal ingame. Generated facegen datas while they are enabled also exports grey heads. You have to disable them before launching the creation kit (which is a matter of seconds if you use MO).
Darkening Demise Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 I used the installer file it came with to uninstall it. But the faces are still dark. Not sure what else to do. I removed the tintmask folder to get rid of the red forehead.
Darkening Demise Posted October 31, 2017 Author Posted October 31, 2017 OK found the BSA files and got rid of them while reinstalling AIO HDT Animated Pussy. But the red forehead won't go away even though I moved the tintmask folder.

Gnafron Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 The makeup issue is a CK limitation; it cannot use textures larger than 256x256.As for the red heads, not sure what to tell you. I recently encountered the very same problem and solved it by disabling the optimized vanilla textures before launching the CK. With MO, it takes at most 2 seconds.I suppose you use these textures packs in a .bsa form ? Otherwise, the uninstallation might have left some left-over files.

Darkening Demise Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 OK I cannot figure out what to remove to fix this. The tintmask folder in the character assets folder doesn't work anymore meaning something else must be affecting it but as to what I do not know.
Veladarius Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I had the same issue making npc's for CD and found I had to remove any makuep or any sort of coloring on the head as it all ended up there.
