I have game v. 1.35 and mod v. 1.31; are they supposed to work well together or not yet? I just started using the mod, and the problem I am having is "watch porn" action does not seem to have any effect (status stays "Not Started").

 

Does it throw an Exception?

To check this out go to .../Documents/.../The Sims 4/LastException.txt

 

see if this file has been updated the last time you played using the mod, If so, let me see if I can find the problem.

Hmmm, not seeing LastException.txt at all in my The Sims 4 folder! And definitely don't remember seeing any message to that effect on the screen (i've seen other Mods throwing exceptions before)... Actually, a couple of times I saw "Just started" status, after performing the "watch porn videos" action on PC/Web, but never saw anything beyond "Just started" (no matter for how long I do it), and most of the time it stays "Not Started"...

I might be thinking down the road a bit here, but will this mod eventually be "playable?"  As in, my female sim is a prostitute, would I be able to make her satisfy NPC's or something along those lines?

Having an issue with this mod. I'm using the 1.0b version as my game version is 1.30. I get the job, complete the objectives and then send my sim to work. When she goes to work I get an error message. My sim continues till the end of her shift then returns home, but her icon still shows she is at work. To get rid of it, I have to quit her job.

 

 

Any suggestions?

Just my 2 cent

 

- the promotion go to fast, I ranked up one job-level per day ( compared to 3 days in other jobs )

- unlocking some promotion items as a promotion reward would be nice - maybe an other modder you has some experiance with  modding items can help

- also some job events, where you have to decide between different options

- Porn actors work only at night? Working at night make sense for prostitutes, but for pornstars?

 

Hope that does not sound like too much complaining, that is just what I noticed - keep on working

One question, when I make something for "Chair Desk" in XML, then in game, the animation doesn't appear in Wicked Whims Menu if the Chair is with table-Desk toguether, but if the chair-desk is alone the animation appear without problem. Did you have this problem?

I did have to find a workaround

It turns out that objects like chairs at tables/desks and objects on surfaces will lose their ID and technically becomes part of that object,

 

I think it's for build mode purposes as you'll notice that these items will connect when placed together so that we can grab and re-locate the surface and it's furniture/decorations in one click,

 

 

To get around this, I recreated the scene in blender by appending a desk and using some screenshots, appended and positioned the chair and computer,

it was a lot of trial and error to position her hand on the mouse

 

This way it's activating in the XML as a "desk" animation

I've finally had the time to test your mod more completely. You did a wonderful job and brought some joy to the sick bastard that I am. I took some notes and I have a few suggestions, remarks and propositions :
 
- There seems to be a bug. When getting to prostitute rank 5, the description text is the exact same as that for the preceeding rank. I checked in the packaging (for the translation but I'll get back to that) and there is a string of text for the rank 5 but I never see it in game. I use the french version, I don't know if that's relevant to the issue.
Same thing happens at rank 8.
 
- If my sim goes to work with the "flirty" mood, she gets the option to "flirt with colleagues" as with other careers. But said option increases social needs and decreases work performance. For a career in sex, it doesn't make much sense that it would.
 
- While a camgirl would totally work during the evening, porn actors of well established productions mostly work during the day. After all, when making a movie, one must work with the light. Same goes for prostitutes. I would say that up to "brothel worker", a prostitute would make most of her business during the night, but classy escort girls would work mostly during the afternoon and evening. "Important social event" to which she'd get invited as a plus one happen in the evening and a "business class escort" may have to entertain a board of directors during business hours.
 
- It is currently impossible to fulfill the requirement of naturism for camgirl if you're already exhibitionist and I don't think that being a naturist really have much to do with exposing yourself to the public anyhow.
I would suggest to have the requirement be charisma+sex skill for a camgirl that turns into exhibitionist (lvl 1) + sex skill when starting the pornography path. That's rank 4 in a career so it's a fair requirement (and yes, a porn star has to be an exhibitionist )
 
As for the prostitution path, I think it could demand some other skills as well, especially for a classy escort girl, one would expect her to know how to dance for example. There can be music at an important social event.
 
- Watching porn as daily task makes little sense for a prostitute (it's not her industry and even after a long day at work, she is far from needing to rub one off). We could imagine something relating to building her client base, reminding her regular customers that she languishes without their touch and whatnot.
 
- A nice addition would be that of two choices chance cards that randomly pops up. Here are a few ideas of mines :
 

 

For a prostitute : One of your regular customers is short on cash today, he just lost a lot of money gambling, he feels down and is in dire need of a little affection. You could give him a free blowjob, he is a good customer, he'll pay you next time or you could call in your pimp and have him vigorously reminded that no one wastes your time for free.

So you choose to A : "Blow him" or B : "Blow him off"

 

A success : The client called you back that very evening. Maybe your tongue is a very potent good luck charm, or maybe you gave him back the confidence he needed, but he made back all his money and some more. He paid you triple your usual rates and thanked you again.

(You make a mental note that he went straight back to gambling after he left you, maybe next time you won't trust him to make his money back)

-> Reward : Money+good moodlet

 

A failure : Word gets out that you give free blowjobs. Some of your other regulars start to expect to receive similar favours and you even have clients pretending to be broke to get free service.

-> Reward : Loss of work performance.

 

B success : Since that event, your work condition have improved, your clients come one after the other and you don't have to worry yourself with pesky matters of money anymore. You can now focus on what's truly important, getting fucked !

-> Reward : Bonus to work performance

 

B failure : You learn some time later that you pimp went overboard in his correction and the client spent a week in the hospital. He truly had one hell of a bad day and you can't help but feel responsible.

-> Reward : bad moodlet (or good modlet if you are evil).

 

For a porn actress : Your director explains you what the next scene is going to be, you recoil in schock, did he just say that? You are into kinky stuff but that?... That's just wrong! Are there really people out there who are into that sort of things? Is that even sanitary?

Did it work but your job progress didn't go up? Did it crash your game and keep it from starting? Did your game work for a while and then crash? If you give more detail you're less likely to have your post ignored and get help to steer you in the right direction....

That bug is killing me. I already tried to introduce a command that resets the exhibitionism level (ww.exremoveskill) but it doesn't work for me. Nothing happens
