How to Fix the SOS Perma-Undies bug!

ok let me try to help you through this.

You have all plugins activ, you only deleted the 3 Files in Edit  you where supposed to and now you cant change your Schlong, is that correct? Did you try to restart SOS, make a Hard Safe after it was done and load it?

If so and it´s gone for good reinstall SoS and do the Fix with Edit again but change the last Steps like Leodriz explained, restart SoS ingame again, hard safe and load it.

This "fix" does literally nothing to fix the problem that other commenters have mentioned--that the NPCs are improperly outfitted. If the 3 underwear references are deleted from the esm and the esp, a hole is left in the groin area of the NPCs. If the 3 underwear references are not removed, then the NPCs are walking around with underwear that's worn simultaneously with their slot 32 armor, clipping through it. During sex animations, their underwear remains, like some weird Japanese porn video that censors out the dicks.

If you're looking for a solution for your personal player character, this "fix" is fine, but it does nothing to resolve the problem with NPCs walking around with a missing cock and balls or with clipping underwear issues--unless you want to delete the 3 underwear references from the esm and esp and personally assign schlongs to each and every NPC that you can possibly highlight in the SOS MCM.

if that happens then you need to go to an empty cell, then go through the SOS menu and "Reset/restart SOS".  Wait 24hr, and then go somewhere with NPC.

Don't say this fix doesn't work when you don't apply it properly.

I would have issues?

you should be fine. Some SL scenes use it as an animobject I think but I don't think perma-deleting the undies will be harmful

Then you're doing it wrong.

Try restarting SOS as well.

This has worked EVERY time I've needed it and it's worked for hundreds of other people.

You're the problem, not my instructions.

So I followed the instructions, and instead of underwear being fully removed, the dick just clips through it like it isn’t there.

you clearly didn't follow the instructions. Because if you did, the underwear wouldn't be present to begin with.

Vortex sucks monkey dick. People really need to stop using Nexus branded managers because they always have a million problems or cause a million problems.

50% of problems can be fixed by not using shitty software.

Switch to Mod Organizer, or manually install mods like I do.

Did I ask you?

super fun having snarky entitled people bitch and moan about how i conduct myself. Either thank me or leave. I could easily delete this topic and leave you in the dark about how to fix your little sticky underpants problem. Is that what you want?

Don't piss off people trying to help you.

the SOS MCM menu allows you to change schlongs on both player and NPCs

The way I fixed it was the order I download my mods. I download all of my body mods like CBBE SOS Better Males and what not first then the skeleton mod you use and after that FNIS. It is the only way Ive noticed where I dont get the perma-undies problem. I do it this way so SOS doesnt get rewritten by accident.

the perma undies bug has nothing to do with load order.

It's caused by save corruption over time with other mods that use the undies.

Can you at the very least make an attempt at using sensible grammar? I literally cannot understand what the issue is because of your ridiculous run-on sentence

Just a note. I have fixed this by unchecking "install male skeleton", I understand it seems irrelevant't but hey... it worked.

I get this bug from time to time even when I don't install the male skeleton (using XM32MSE 6.8)

I tried the solution in this guide but found the only way to fix it was to copy the male body mesh (weight 0 and 1) directly from SOS to it's respective folder , since for some reason my mod manager decided not install the new body mesh, even though the other files were installed properly.

Makes a lot of sense now that I think about it this bug is simply  a the new SOS texture being written on the vanilla base loincloth ( the weird black and brown box).

Its not the recommended to directly copy files to your game folder since uninstalling these files becomes very  tedious, but if you know what you're doing...

If you encounter this bug even on a new save then it may be a sign something is wrong with the mesh/texture files or installation. Hope this helps.

I've said it before and I will say it again, mod managers cause more trouble than they are worth.

that's literally how modding had always been prior to mod managers. Even OBMM still overwrote stuff directly in the Data folder.

This guide was written while using manually installed mods.
