Buggy Sex Actions

So I have Sexlab, SoS, and zazanimations installed, but the sex is ...disturbing.

In short, both actors are placed in the same spot, the sounds happen and depending on who's face is clipping the most forward, the actors "say" what they should, and then when its over both actors return or teleport back to where they were when it started.

Anybody else have this issue?  Am I reporting this in the correct manner?

Personally, I have never had this problem but I can sorta guide you through trouble shooting it. First things first make sure you have installed FNIS and have ran it once without the mods installed and again with the mods installed. If you are using Mod Organizer ( Which you should!) you need to install FNIS differently than how you would normally. You can watch a tutorial here:

I am assuming it may be a problem regarding actor placement so maybe my first suggestion won't work. You can try and rebuild and clean the Sexlab Framework, do this from the options menu. You can also try to re register animations to see if that would work. There is an option to reset your character's position while in animation but I forgot which keybind ( you can find it in the SkyUi menu for it). Make sure you have SkyUI and the Unofficial Legendary Skyrim Patch. If any of that doesn't help, let me know and I will try to assist you further! :)

I will try. I have FNIS and everything else runs fine, just this is buggy.  I'll trty to reset the rebuild and clean sexlab next time I play and let you know

my load order is:

SoS

Sexlab

SexlabAroused

ZaZAnimationPack

Sexlab - Sexual Frame

...I tried rebuilding and clean options on sexlab but it still has the actors occupying the same space

i guess ppl need your full load order to help you, because, for example,  FINS and a skeleton like XPMSE are needed for the SL animations.

if that, what you posted, is your full list of mods, than pls check the requiments of your listed mods, like...

Sexual Fame mod requiments (you find those information, and more, on the mod pages):

4.Requiments:
SkyUi, (Really, there's someone that doesn't use it?) For the MCM Configurations
UiExtensions, for the In-Game menu
Fuz Ro D-oh, for read the comment provided from other Plugins
SexLab, ...Ok that was easy... 1.61+
ZazAnimationPack, Various Resources, 6.1
SexLab Aroused (I suggest the Redux Version, because is Updated)

and sexlab requiments (lots of useful information on the sexlab page, incl. a full description how to install SL):

Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) REQUIRES SKSE 1.7.3 OR NEWER

Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) REQUIRES FNIS 5.4.2 OR NEWER

  • FNIS Creature Pack version 5.2 or newer is required only if you want creature animation support in SexLab, otherwise it is not required.
  • If you get a warning in game about not having 5.2 installed despite having installed it. You have without exception, installed it incorrectly. You can either ignore the warning and keep using SexLab like normal if everything working anyway, or do the smart thing and figure out what's wrong with your FNIS install so the warning will leave you alone.

SkyUI REQUIRES VERSION 5.0 OR NEWER

  • If you dislike SkyUI for some reason, you can also install SkyUI-Away on top of it.
  • It may work fine with older versions if you refuse to upgrade to 5.0 for whatever reason. You do so at your own risk.

An actor skeleton mod such as XPMSE2 or XPMSE3

Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Patch OR the individual applicable patches Skyrim, Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire Unofficial Patch

  • This is not a hard requirement and can be skipped, it has been known to fix some problems people have had related to SexLab however and there is little to no reason to not be using them anyway.
  • If you choose to not use the Unofficial Patches for whatever reason, expect to be browbeat about not having them when posting your load order in the troubleshooting section.

and check what the requiments of the requiments are ;D

you can get your full load order, to post here, via your mod installer.

* to get a full load order:

you can get a full load order from NMM -> plugins window -> click icon "export the current load order" -> that will export your load order to a txt file -> from there you can copy paste it

* SL animation issue (might be FINS tool not used):

- check if you have run FINS (you have to run the FINS tool to add custom animations)

-> after installation of FINS go to skyrim/data/tools and run "fins for users", more info about it on the fins page and xp32 skeleton page (to check the right patches during the FINS tool run)

- if you did that already, check if FINS found and installed the sexlab animations

OKAY, so I ran FINS again, and it ...changed, my problem.

Now, no matter what file I load, old or new character, I'm sunk into the floor and the bottom half of my screen is below the floor and I can move around with a fixed camera, and there's BIG red diamonds with ! symbols and I cannot interact with anything.

LOOT says that everything is fine, BWT -_-

omgz! the red diamonds of doom!

well, as far as i know this means there are missing textures or objects, you dont get that from FINS

if a mod isnt installed right or is missing requiments you can get those diamonds

they are placeholders for something that didnt made it into your skyrim

WTF?!  So, how do I figure out what is or isn't where it should be?

hard to tell without your load order, but you can use this:

mfg console: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/44596/?

open console in game -> click on the the diamonds of doom (but works also on anything) -> you can see from what mod the objects are loaded into game

to reduce possible installation errors during your modding adventures, this might be helpful too:

- move NMM out of c:\ (or at least out of the windows system folders)

- move your steam installation out of c:\ (or at least out of the windows system folders)

- give NMM admin rights

- make NMM and skyrim files as exception in your virus scanner

- if you only move NMM to another location you might get the same issues later during installation of mods, because NMM doesnt only install all mod files virtual, many will be written into the steam and skyrim folders

- to prevent lag and file rights conflicts (as far as i understand it) its better to have steam and NMM on the same HDD

- if you have windows 10 you might have to renew admin rights for NMM after an update

remember what mods you have overwritten during NMM installation, for example textures files

try to work your way up for a modded skyrim game, means start with only a few basic mods and add new ones bit by bit so you can see the changes ingame (or the errors)

for example in your case, get sexlab running -> than add more mods to use with sexlab

same goes for anything else you add like weather, sound, tools, combat, weapons, armor, followers and stuff

as soon as you know your mods a bit better (and what they change) you can faster tell whats going wrong after adding a new mod

yes, i know thats hard at the beginning, because as newbie you want it all and you want it NOW =D (well, doesnt get better later on in my case)

falling thro the ground might be from:

- sexlab, while it is preparing the animation (on bridges for example) or on buggy underground

- light changing mods that conflict or have missing requirements or are outdated (from example ELFX + ETaC tavern interiors)

- mod conflicts  (for example between city overhauls, prison overhauls)

- mods that need DLCs

- not correctly installed/modified ENBs

removing and adding mods during a playthru is a bad idea also, to be sure that your mod changes work correctly start a new game

again its hard to help without the current load order, best you add your mods one by one

be sure to have all the requirements

read -> try out -> fail -> read -> try out -> read some more -> succeed -> add new mods -> try out -> fail a lot -> read even more -> try again -> succeed -> get addicted to modding skyrim ^^

and get those DLCs! ;D
