sharonasbar12 Posted September 7, 2017 Posted September 7, 2017 When ever I launch skyrim skse from mod organizer, it literally takes 2 and a half minutes for the game to actually go to the start menu. Any help with this? I have around 187 mods for it. Please help!

Heavy modded is okay until you have a bunch of armors / dresses / ninja suits / whatever pleases you. I've had this issue before, it would take me forever to get in game and so I looked for a fix. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801/? Take your time to use this tool correctly, it should backup your textures before compressing them in case you do something wrong. It may take you a long while, especially if you have a lot of textures to load, but it will save you some time waiting for the game to load.

It did free up disk space, but now it takes twice as long than before. You running enb for memory? Also never use Windows Defrag on an SSD drive. Pauduan Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Run a proper hard disk check using HDDTune. When I started noticing super-long load times, a hard disk check indicated a drive going bad. The surface scan came back okay but the reallocated sector count was shooting up, so I replaced the drive and now no more problems.
