Request: Help getting my BDO UUNP conversion to work

Recommended Posts

I recently made this conversion for personal use and I cannot get it to work. Everything seems to be in order, but the moment I load it in game, the game crashes. It's definitely the nif itself. I've tested using the original nif as well as another UUNP conversion (I wasn't a fan of it so I decided to make my own), and they both worked fine.

Can anyone figure out what I did wrong?

Note: All zaps in the file are meant to be used.

Both your gauntlets and boots have some lines added that shouldn't be there that might be what is causing the problem. I circled them in nifskope for you to see. Right click those lines and go block - remove branch then save as to overwrite the nif.

No dice. It still crashes the game on equip and even crashes the CK when I try to reload the nif in the AA file.

I did notice when I saved the nif in nifskope after trying your advice that it said "link 31 points to wrong block type". That might be my problem but I have no idea how to fix it and google hasn't given me any help.

You seem to have a few errors when you delete those 4 items out using nifskope they throw up 3 errors. The gauntlets throw up a NiSkinPartition and a BSShaderTextureSet error the boots throw up a NiSkinPartition.

If you can't get it to work it might be best to throw those files away and to try again maybe something you did caused it and redoing it might fix it. I have had it happen before where I did something wrong and had to redo it to fix it.

that bone shouldn't be here

and you have to remove something if you want to have a reason to put unp under that armor (here you can only see it because it clip with the armor)

Yeah, I've tried everything to get it to work. Bodyslide seems to save it normally if I don't do anything at all to the original nif, but the second I hit "conform all" to start messing with it bodyslide no longer saves the nif correctly. I'm thinking my next step is to try exporting the nif in obj format and then bring it back in to bodyslide to work with it that way.

With the zap I created, there isn't any clipping and the armor conforms very smoothly to the intended shape.

I just can't figure out how to make the link point to where it should.

I loaded the file nif up into outfit studios I then exported each part out in .OBJ format just so all that crap gets removed I then started a new project and loaded each .OBJ up one at a time into outfit studios till they were all in and then exported them. You'll have to redo the weight painting you will probably also have to redo that .osd file to update it to the new mesh.
