Removing sleeves from a piece of clothing?

I'm using CT77 remodeled armor, but when building the Necromancer clothing without sleeves, it still shows them while in first person view.

I tried using this to fix it, but doesn't work.

So I wanna try my hand and see if I can fix it myself.

Just saying, I have zero modding experience.

All I did was add a building in Riverwood with CK using some tutorial.

Can anyone help me out on this one?

EDIT: while I'm at it, how do I make it so that Imgur allows LL to directly show images?

Always have to open in new tab and refresh to show them.

To edit the first person view on clothes/armors you need to edit the first person version of the outfit. Go into the meshes and look for the version of the outfit listed as 1st person.

1stpersonnecromancerrobes_f_0 and 1stpersonnecromancerrobes_f_1

Got it.

I don't know what the next step is though.

I assume I have to replace the mesh with something, but what?

I need bare arms, so do I get the femalebody.nif?

Deleting the shape in NifSkope / Outfit Studio won't work, since i'll get no arms and just hands (right?).

EDIT:

Welp, replaced the sleeves with femalebody_0 and _1 respectively, and it works perfectly.

I should make less threads and actually try things out for myself beforehand.

No clue about your original problem, but here: you can't. What you can do is make your browser show them, but for everybody else it's still blocked. Imgur explicitly blocked LL, so imho every other hoster should be prefered. They don't want us there, we shouldn't give them any traffic. ;)

well, you could just cheat :)

Find a piece of armor that has no sleeves. Copy the armor_1.nif. Rename it 1stPerson(armoryouarehavingtheissuewith)_1.nif. Do the same for the _0.nif. Don't put the brackets in. Put these both in the meshes folder of your armoryouarehavingtheissuewith.

Now open up the armoryouarehavingtheissuewith.esp with tes5edit. Expand the armor addon branch. Find your armor. Replace the female world model with your newly made 1stPerson(armoryouarehavingtheissuewith)_1.nif.

Open the Remodeled Armor esp in TESVEdit, find the Armor Part and Armor entries for the robe, and set the 1st person mesh entries to be the same as the World Model.

Then, it will be the same mesh, and if you re-build the mesh in bodyslide for whatever reason, it will still be correct.
