Passion [Requires patch level 1.63+]

Hi, TwilightStorm. Hope you're doing well.

My game is going great, thank you. I'm just having a harmless issue I'd like to report. I'm getting "Autonomy Error Captured" notifications. I get approx 20 in the space of a few minutes. I think it's to do with the TV channels (great idea, by the way:smile:). They eventually go away on their own. Is it something I'm doing wrong? I have all channels and TV installed.

What is autonomy percentage that you use?

The setting libido is enabled?

Some how the settings that you have, give wrong events to one of passion event listeners.

I don't blame the settings.

I would like to know and replicate that, so I can fix it.

hello! 

 

I added the most recent passion mod and stuff to my game but I have a lot of animations that won't load into the game. I'm not sure if KW animations are supposed to be added or not but AW animations aren't working either. 

 

how do I add more animations to the passion mod? and what animations SHOULD be with the passion mod?

Passion XML system, reads and plays both AW and KW animations.

For every known animations creator, you don't even have to write something to load them. Most of them are in passion list of animations.

So which animations are you talking about?   

As about how many of them passion found and can play, you can go to settings -> Positions -> [Reload Default]

If the number is 0 (zero) it means that passion can not find any AW or KW animations in your mods folder.

If this is the issue, read the beginning of this topic. 
It will guide you where and how to download them.

Well I have animations in the mod and it has always said I have 128 animations by Amra72, but I added more mods by L666 and Maryjane, but they're not loading into the game. 

and when I try to type the name of the animations in, it does nothing, just like makes another animation selection specifically as I typed it. 

and the animations I added to the game says its in there, but when I select it, it only give me an option to delete it. 

how do I load them so those animations work too?

Where the game says that animations are there and where passion has an option to delete them?????

I never made such option. Are we talk about the same mod?

Can you post a screenshot with all these?

tried to make a gif of it but it kept exiting out of the sims and wouldn't work when stopped it from making it full screen.

I'm trying to figure out how to make those animations work but that's the only option it gives me when I click on them. is there another section for me to go to so I can get the other animations to work?

OK, I see now where the confusion is. These above are not the animations that you have. 

This is passion list of its known animations.

From this list you have only 128 animations and that's Amra animations.

By click an animation creators name of passion known animations list, passion says to remove it from its list and not to delete any animation

but if these animations are in your mods folder they will be back in the list when you reload the game.

To play an animation, click on an object (bed, chair, etc) or a sim that is at least friend to your sim and choose Erotic from sim pie menu.

Choose Passion or solo passion.

Read at the beginning of the topic "what is passion" to see what each setting does and how you use them.

Well back after exsteniv checking, even took out all mods exept Nraas mods and Cmar stuff. Instead of landing on the roof with the countersink they now go into the ground (new neighborhood and sims and house) and the sink pushes them to far into the sink causing clipping :frown: The FixerUpperCar animations work as they should finally but you have left out the doggy 1+2 from K69 so i don't fell all that happy with it. It needs more tweaking and i would be happy to have done it myself the old way (XML edit in S3pe) but this new metod is a little daunting ;) I am at a loss as to why the sink and countersink is acting this way, will try a last time to download all the animations, mods and video stuff and see if it has any effect. Well the game plays nice, and othervise i love The Passion mod that you have made so great :smiley: Well take care my dear friend Storm :classic_heart:

Another Sims3 modding newbie here .-.

 

So I'm trying to add the toys into the animations but I've run into a problem and I can't seem to find a fix.

Whenever I open the package with XML a lot of the files characters are replaced letters and numbers encased in black (Picture for reference)

 

I hope you can help me out.

In the last two versions of passion, you do not need to do any edit.

Passion reads the KW animations that need a dildo and gives a random one and any time different, to the hand of a sim.

Note that, only KW animations support dildos and toys in general.

All you need is to download them and have them in your mods folder.

Hi MrsSanta!

Clipping is a sure thing for them, because none of them made for sink objects. Besides there are many different sinks.

For example Island paradise sinks have a front edge larger than other sinks.

If I used a sink from other EP or SP there is the clipping.

Since no one makes anything new with those objects, we all have to choose between some animations in what ever way or nothing.

I only hope that these object animation conversions will spark animators fantasy to do something.

Sorry couldn't help myself. As Twilightstorm has already said there's no need to edit the OKW's for the dildos anymore as Passion will load one at random.

Mhm alright I feel quite stupid

 

But now the next issue arises and I'm not sure if it's me being stupid again or a glitch, but whenever an animation loads using a toy, the toy is invisible. I might again be doing something wrong here.

That's a problem with the game itself even with my computer ( an I7 8700k with a GTX 1080TI ) there's a latency in the game when rendering the object, I've even had the object appear right away then disappear a few seconds later not much can be done about that even had it happen with KW. And it happens with EA's own in-game animations.

First of all, your animations must be KW animations and not AW.

AW does not support toys. (and there is the invisible. Amra and old L666 animations are the same AW and KW. Don't have them both.)

You should have 2 files, one starts with KW and another that starts with OKW of the same animation creator.

Second you must have all passion and Oniki dildos in your mods folder.

Usually actor A is the sim that initiate passion and if passion is autonomous. If autonomy is set to zero, player A is your active sim.

In case that you have "Exclude Invalid Positions" setting Enabled, this will forbid passion player to play animations that the actor B has not "Male" or "Male,Female" in genders tag, in the animations XML.

Have in mind that male gay animations, made as far by only 2 creators and that's After Dusk (DDS) and Who's The What (WTW). Any one else, made straight  or lesbian animations.

This means, that if you have more stuff from other creators and you want to convert them to gay animations, you have to do some XML edits, yourself.

I don't know if you're familiar with this...

Which animation is that?

The matter "always" as you describe above leads in 2 conclusions, by my experience, anyway. 

1) your B sim is some how corrupted

2) your b sim has a high male preference, so the game treats it as female.

 

See first with Nraas Master Controller the gender preference of that sim. Zero it for both genders and see if this continues.

Ask for further details in case you don't know how to do it.

Test the same animation with other male sims to see if this happens.

 

If you come to the conclusion that the sim is corrupted and you like to keep it, ask how to fix it.    

It can be done...

I tried the gender preferences, doesn't seems to be working, so could be that the sim is corrupted. Could you show me how to fix corrupted sim? Thanks for looking into this! Really appreciate it!

First save the sim in the bin. Look in the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims to see if the sim is saved in this folder.

Rename the folder  \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 to \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 - OLD

and start the game. The game will create a new \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder. This folder has no mods and no CC. (It's a game reset) Quit the game, copy the SavedSims folder from the The Sims 3 - OLD to the new created \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. Start the game, go to edit town and add the sim that is corrupted. Save it with the default EA skin, clothes hair and accessories. The sim will only keep the face and body sliders values. Save it in the bin. Go to \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\SavedSims copy the modified sim and paste it to the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 - OLD\SavedSims

Delete the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and rename the \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 - OLD to \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3. 

Run the game go edit town add a new sim, use the modified one and change the skin hair clothes accessories to what ever you like.

The sim should work properly.

This procedure resets everything in a sim except the face and body sliders.

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but i can just download the animations made for OKW and AW and use them with this mod, right?  Like i don't need to do any manual editing myself...?  I don't get what those converted animation included are in the mod description, should i also download those?
