leirisal Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Every time I go up the stairs to dragonsreach (and sometimes even when approaching Whiterun as well) my game crashes to desktop. After this occurs, I am unable to load the save i used to load (it crashes at the end of loading), unless I reboot my pc. then it loads just fine. The papyrus logs always show practically the same couple of lines at the end, and i can't tell what is malfunctioning for sure Crash in-game: Sample 1: [07/25/2017 - 11:32:23PM] Error: Unable to call RegisterForSingleUpdate - no native object bound to the script object, or object is of incorrect type stack: [Active effect 7 on (0001A66D)].fwabilitybeeingfemale.RegisterForSingleUpdate() - "<native>" Line ? cheyanne Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 If it's consistent try deactiving mods one by one until the ctd does not occur
leirisal Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 is RS Children mod in ur load order? No it's not. Never did EDIT: Should I? I'm inclined to do so at the moment If it's consistent try deactiving mods one by one until the ctd does not occur I'd rather not resort to this since i have nearly 200 mods installed
redeyesandlonghair Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Load up your entire load order in TESVEdit. Select everything in the list other than the official DLCs. Right click > check for errors. It will take a while to heck everything. In the results of the test look for <Error cannot be resolved>. These errors cause CTDs so this is something you can try to figure out mysterious CTDs.

Okay i'm doing this as i type, and i'm already seeing quite a few errors EDIT: Skyrim.esm is also showing errors. is this normal?

leirisal Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 Okay, quick update: The saves not loading issue is now considered solved, after loading and crashing at dragonsreach 5 times in a row. So thanks to Sladen2019 for the fix Now it's all about getting instantly denied at the cloud district... I'd blame Nazeem...
leirisal Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 I did TES5Edit error check and these are the mods that included "Could not be resolved" errors skyrim.esm devourment DDi TaraFurniturePack.esm zazExtensionepack.esm BeeingFemaleBasicAddOn.esp xazPrisonOverhaul.esp Trapped in Rubber.esp wolfclub.esp SimpleSlavery.esp TaraUltimateFurniturePack.esp S_L_U_T_S.esp DeviouslyHelpless.esp zzEstrus.esp Aradia Devious Expansion.esp ImmerSlave.esp There were also many other mods with invalid aliases, null references, and what not. What should I do now? Rule them out one by one? I attached the full TES5Edit log TES5Edit error check log.txt
Frankfranky Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 There is a workaround for some crash-on-load issues. Don't load your last save I know that sounds dumb. When you load your game, it wants to start up everything, put it all in the right place, give it a back-rub and make it some tea. If any of this fails it gets upset and CTD. So the trick is, not to give it too much to do. Once it gets everything up and running, the engine seems to think that all the social niceties are done with for the day, and it will happily load anything after that without bothering. So what you do is go down your save list and find one that is in an empty cell, or as close to it as you can arrange. It doesn't seem to matter how far back in the list you go. Load this. It will work. If it doesn't, keep going down the list till you find one that does. Once you get one that loads, you are set. You will now be able to load your current save. Do I know the technical explaination for why this works? No. You could try googling FOOTIK. I understand that this is a big factor. No I don't understand exactly what it does apart from stuff up my char's foot angles when I am trying to pose them in some ... nm. Anyways, it works all the time. I don't even bother to try and load my last save anymore. It is much faster to find the save I know works, load that, then load my game. Also, be on the lookout for good spots to make a new safe save. The Riverwood Trader seems to always work. The cellar under Anise's Cabin is perfect. If you have Provincial Courier installed, that shack is also ideal.

But that part of the issue is solved anyways. Thank you for tip
redeyesandlonghair Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Well, what I do when I find could not be resolved errors is: - Reinstall the ESPs for those mods. Sometimes ESPs seem to get corrupted for some reason and end up with those errors. After you do this, open TESVEdit and load just these mods and check them for errors again, to see if that solved the issue. - For any that still have the errors, go through and find the records that have them and see what you can do to fix them manually. Sometimes it's as simple as copying something over from an official esm, or another esp that has the same record. Sometimes it's a record unique to that esp and you'll just need to delete the entry with the error in it. Throughout this process you might be able to figure out if one of these is specifically involved with your crashes since you'll get a closer look at them. - once you're done, rerun any Skyproc Patchers you have to make sure they get rebuilt with any errors resolved. Ignore the errors in Skyrim.esm since you can't deal with those anyway. Don't worry about errors other than the could not be resolved ones, they're generally not issues and a lot of them are basically "false flags" Even if this doesn't solve your issue, it's a good idea to get it done. Might even prevent some future issues!
