[REQ] Zapping an armor

Does anyone think they could add zaps to the Nier 2b armor? I've read guides on adding zaps and none of mine work. I just want the white part and the mesh top zapped.

Should be as simple as.

1. Select vertex edit so you can see what you mark

2. Select the masking tool.

3. Paint what you want to Zap(dont forget to change brush size under brush settings.)

4. Click Invert Mask

5. Click New Zap Slider and name it.

6. Save.

7. Then dance.

I cant seem to get the zap to work as in nothing gets zapped
