Password42 Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Since having obtained my concealed carry permit last year, I've carried, at various times, a Kimber Solo (9mm) and a Colt .45 Commander. Both have their strong points, but I'm thinking the .45 will be my carry gun for the foreseeable future.

nonusnomeni Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 for me accuracy is ultimate priority SIG-Sauer P228 http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/switch/sig-sauer-p228-and-p229-e.html CZ-99 http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg/serb/cz-99-e.html for hunt accuracy plus very small recoil and ammunition that don't need to assure twice any hog to die Yugoslavian PAP M59/66 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SKS and something for deathclaws absolutely beauty, she laying in hands gentle as a virgin and she's always ready M-76 http://www.snipercentral.com/m76.htm and the ammo is shameless; breaking bricks, passing thru the sleeper...

Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted July 26, 2012 Author Posted July 26, 2012 Fuck that, I'll take the M-72 for anti deathclaw use.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 Who here touches up their iron sights with some sort of luminescent paint? What kind do you use, and where do you get it ?
gregathit Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I, myself, am too lazy to paint mine and just had tritum sights put on my glock. Not sure where in the world you are but here is a site I found: http://www.brightsights.com/products.shtml and here is another: http://glow-on.com/gun_sights_paint.html Here is a whole thread talking about it: http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum/glow/136280-gun-sights-paint-made-usa.html One thing to keep in mind is that most luminescent paints need to be exposed to a light source to "stay charged". A tritium sight does not need this. Tritium sights can be obtained at your gun dealer or via the web: http://www.opticsplanet.com/tritium-fiber-optic-night-sights.html
Mashi Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I live in Canada. Where the fuck do I buy a gun? I've only ever seen an air rifle in a wal-mart. What is a gun? derp I live in Canada too. Get your PAL' date=' beat your head against the wall and renew every 5 years. Or do what the wife does and get a compound bow, and shoot stuff with it. She used to like shooting, but hated going through the hoops because of the hassle the first time she got hers. So now if she wants to go shooting we go to my buddies place in Indianapolis, and just make a trip of it. But where to get your gun once you get it? Depends on where you live. Plenty of shops across the country, plenty in the prairies, fewer in Ontario though, plenty in Quebec and the Maritimes, not many in BC. By the by, legal in Canada Oh as for me, I was the owner of a Remington 700 SPS DM 30-06. I sold it when I was out west to my buddy that I went to college with. He gets more use out of it than I do, especially since he's got a range now. The range that I used to use shut down, lack of members. But since he's a fed. prison guard, he can use the onsite range and shoot all day if he wants if he's off. Long as he cleans up, he's building up a really nice collection of guns.
Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 No matter how many guns you Canadians get, we Americans still won't buy milk in bags too.
Mashi Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 No matter how many guns you Canadians get' date=' we Americans still won't buy milk in bags too. [/quote'] Funny enough, I've seen bags of milk in the US. You're DOOOOOOOOOOoooommmmMMMMMEEEDDdddd! You can buy both here though Though I get my milk delivered in glass containers once a week by a local dairy(but I can get it every other day, or bi-weekly if I want), right to my milk box no less. I live in an area that is serviced by that, and it seriously kicks ass.
Irishredneck Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 5 firearms for me. 1. Weatherby Vanguard chambered for.300 Win mag. Topped off with a Weatherby Premier scope. Taken 2 bears, countless mule deer and antelope. and one stray neighbor's chicken. WhOOooosh.. he's gone! 2. Taurus .357 4" chrome. (Hate this damn pistol.. it's cheap made, and shoots like being hit with a brick.) Gift from ex. Hate her too. 3. Mossberg 12ga. Bought at Walmart when I was... well, back in the early 70's. 4. M1911 .45. Best fucking gun ever. 100% stock. no fancy smancy shit on it. Parkerized finish is near all gone. But I love this gun. NEVER more than 3 steps from me. EVER. 5. Winchester model 12 shotgun. Was Grandfather's gun. Gold inlay, carved wood stock and grips. $25K was last offer to be refused. Fired it once when I was in my teens. Preserved and hangs proudly on wall. Will kill anyone that touches it with gun #4 above.
