Nifskope Edit of HDT Skirt

hey can anyone explain if i can remove the shoulder strap for HDT Test Skirts in Nifskope? (see attached image)

i looked online and couldn't find a tutorial on removing what seems like a section of a one piece mesh. i found some that removed pieces of separate meshes and that seems clear but this is not that simple (for me).

i wish there was an erase button for just sections of the triangles that make up the mesh. i dunno

If the strap isn't attached to the rest of the outfit then yes you can remove it in nifskope just make sure to right click it and go to block - remove branch. Don't use block - remove though as it only removes the mesh piece but leaves everything else attached to it and will make a dirty nif. Make sure to remove it from both the _0 and _1 nifs.

If you click the strap and the skirt highlights with the strap then you'll have to use outfit studios and zap the strap out.

Your welcome. There is one other way but it takes a bit more doing and that is to load the nif up into nifskope and right click the part then file and export in .OBJ format. Take the exported file and load it into blender right click the part and go to tab towards the bottom that has object mode in it and change it to edit mode hit P and then try by material this may or may not speperate it into different mesh parts change it back to object mode right click the part and hold down the right mouse button and try to drag to see if it is sperate or not if not turn edit mode back on and hit P again and this time use by loose parts (this should be used last as it can break a outfit up into hundreds of pieces. Change back to object mode and again right click and hold and drag if its and no longer attached to anything delete it.

If you want to attach everything back together afterwards hold down the *shift key* and right click each part then hold down CRTL and hit J as in join right click outfit and drag to see if they are all one again if not right click again to release then try to find that piece if it's under a part remember where it is and right click and drag in that area till you are dragging it release it and hold down the mouse button and click the outfit then hold CTRL and hit J repeat till all is one again.

Load the outfit nif into nifskope and then hit load outfit and drop the .OBJ onto the screen and select it to load it into outfit studio. Here you'll have to rescale and adjust the outfit back to where it fits and looks correct then export it. You'll also have to readd the texture paths and you'll have to redo the nif so that you have a _0 and _1 unless you don't want slider capabilities then just stick to one nif and get rid of the other nif.
