It's a work in progress and it's also my very first blender creation,it hasn't been textured yet and I am still learning how to use blender.

Finishing it is just half the battle, because then I have to figure out a way to export this into a nif file and then turn it into an item in the game.

If any modders here know how to turn blender creations into in-game items for Fallout 4, please, PLEASE shoot me a PM and I will send you the finished watch blender file once it's done.

Not bad for a first-time blender user with absolutely no prior experience in 3D modeling other than watching a few youtube tutorials.

Its mostly untextured, which is why it appears grey.

You want this to be equippable? I find it easier to just export as an object in blender and then just load it in Outfit studio for better positioning and bone weighting. But I guess it's up to you which programs are you most comfortable with

Very nice, I think it may be export as nif from blender or maybe export as obj, then open nifskope for fallout 4 and import the obj file into the outfit studio side to scale it and set it to where it will go, you might want to take a look at this mod for an idea of how to actually get it into game http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/17191/? as it is also a wristwatch.

Do textures applied to objects in blender appear when they are transferred over to Fallout 4?

Not a clue, 3d is not really my area, well not now it is not anyway, 10-20 years ago when I was doing it for work yeh, now pretty much remember nothing about how its done.

No, not really, you will have to link them to it in nifskope (once you have it exported as an nif)

And to get it to a nif you can export it as an .obj or .fbx and import that to outfit studio like Sun Jeong suggested.

Or go on the hunt for some fallout 4 niftools (you could also export it with the skyrim niftools and then import it to outfit studio)

For textures you will need use the Intel texture works plugin for photoshop https://gametechdev.github.io/Intel-Texture-Works-Plugin/

I don't know if there are any BCn plugins for any other photo editing programs, so you will have to go on the hunt for them to, if you don't use PS.

For the model, without seeing the wire frames i would say its too high poly.

Fallout 4 is very.. annoying when it comes to high poly in small forms (like a watch) it tends to spike out verts randomly.

So you may want to work on a lower poly model and use the higher poly to bake from (though you can test export to see if it comes out ok first).

The DDS pluging for GIMP

28407 polygons.

Quite a lot for a small watch.

I don't have any option to export as a nif or obj file.

Is this a plugin/add on?

And I already have the dds. for gimp.
