The thumbnail should show like this: I plan to reorganize the files soon to make it easier for people to understand which ones they need/want, but I just haven't had any time at the moment >.> OHH okay, so basically the SPECIFIC version is the "no face" version. I already had it downloaded, so maybe I missed something in the description. Thank you! Edited February 14, 2025 by Mana Yakushima
Edge Sangral Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 Hi. I am pretty new to Whicked Whims and still getting into the configuration of everything when it comes to body meshes and stuff. I downloaded several so I have a few things as selection under the freckles category but for whatever reason, I couldn't get this Eve version to look good, until I found out why. I was using the normal SMSims-evev9.2skinoverlay and that made my Sims all look super weird with weird outlines, edgy looking boobs and more. But thanks to this thread I found the "Specific" version and that fixed it and looks really really good now. thank you very much for this. With normal version: With Specific version: Also, a general question, is it normal that I basically have to edit every single Sim here to get the detailed real looking meshes? I was under the impression first that the Body Selector stuff from WW should be enough but without this freckles edit the bodies are all plain and textureless. That's normal? Or do I forget a "quick setting" here somewhere maybe?
Shaitan051 Posted February 20, 2025 Posted February 20, 2025 (edited) "full-body skin overlay (found in freckle options in CAS) has been added specifically to work with this version" Cool, tiny little issue with that . . . . . . Every sim not handcrafted by me is a Barbie because I don't have the power to edit their skin details and either way maybe I want to use some freckle-freckles. Edited February 20, 2025 by Shaitan051

See below for more details as to why that is. 21 hours ago, Shaitan051 said: "full-body skin overlay (found in freckle options in CAS) has been added specifically to work with this version" Cool, tiny little issue with that . . . . . . Yeah, that is unfortunately a limitation with the game. It used to be that you could just download a default female skin that had genitalia included, which would replace the default game's barbie skin so everyone had nipples/vag, but it seems as though hardly any creators have updated their default skins (perhaps because it is too time consuming/difficult to bring them up to date with all the game patches). I have no intention to ever make a full default skin because I'm terrible at skin texturing and all your sims would look like potatoes if I tried. In an earlier mesh version, I did attach a skin overlay with the top and bottom mesh so that it automatically showed up with the sim when the parts were selected, but the general census was that it was better to have the parts separated instead. So the only other work around is to apply skin details in CAS, but that has to be done individually to each sim. You can edit sims on-the-spot in game with cheats, but I know it's time consuming and annoying. Perhaps in the future Turbo will add an option in the WW body selector to assign skin details along with meshes. 2

Tayalia12 Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 The overlay doesnt seem to work for my specific sim in live mode. I cant set it to other sims and the overlay appears for them but i only see mine in cas. Im not using any other overlays or custom skin tones so im a bit lost on what else to try. I tried switching bodies back to ww, maxis, back to eve. I removed tattoos, piercings, changed skin tone, but same issue. Anyone experience this?
Cotton0Candy Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 Hi and I'm sorry to ask again because I am VERY sure that I've seen this asked but - nipple piercings. I'm not a super expert in modding specific things to match the body but they do stick out over the clothes and I assume there's a way for me to manually fix this if memory serves correctly. And I assume that I can't put them *under* clothes to just chill between the sim's getting naked for advanced cuddles? Thank any and everyone for any form of pointers and advice in advance! And I'm sorry if the question is stupid, again - I've only been modding Sims 4 a little while and I've literally almost no idea what I'm doing.
noooooooooooooooooo Posted March 16, 2025 Posted March 16, 2025 Hello, I really love the mod!! Would you ever consider having an option for the skin overlay on another skin detail slot besides the freckles? I do really love giving sims freckles as I think they're super cute, but the overlay is so important for the mod's visuals that I always end up choosing it over them. It'd be nice if we could have both!
Menthols487 Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 I can't see any nipples! To see nipples/vagina details, you need the full-body overlay in the above downloads. It can be found in CAS in the Face->SkinDetails section and takes the place of freckles. The skin overlay should be assigned as part of Everyday Outfit #1 for it to correctly 'stick' to the bathing outfit (nude). Even if you don't see them/don't think you need it, without this assignment they wont show correctly in the nude state. If you still have trouble, you might need to manually set the bathing/nude state of your desired Sim either through accessing cheats to get into Create-A-Sim or via the Outfit Tools Mod. I highly reccomend using the custom skintones that come included with WW, or this one by MsBlue as it tends to 'pinken' the skin up a bit and make it look better with the overlay. This is fine and makes sense... for the main Sim you are controlling... but does this mean that this texture has to be applied to every single NPC that I plan on seeing nude in the game? So every single time I have to edit the NPC, go into the menu, add the texture and repeat over and over... or just deal with the default model for NPC's...? That seems ridiculous, am I misunderstanding and there is an easier way to apply the skin texture to all NPC females? Its easy enough to do with the body type mesh in wickedwhims, but not the texture. Is there a way to make it that this skin texture is the default loaded on all female bodies when the game starts up?
Vadge Posted April 15, 2025 Posted April 15, 2025 So is it normal for everyone using this to have to manually edit every single NPC sim with the skin overlay (face -> skin) so sims don't all have ghost nipples? I mean, since WW only allows us to choose body defaults for everyone's tongue, top, bottom, and feet (but not skin). Just making sure I'm understanding this correctly, since the install instructions don't seem to mention any way to make this automatic across all sims.

See above. Unfortunately, it is a current limitation of the game. I'm working on an update for EVE now, and am considering an optional version where the skin is textured to the mesh to avoid this issue. If you only want the piercings to show when the sim is naked, you need to edit the sims bathing outfit which is the sims naked state. I can't remember if there is now an option to do this directly in WW or not (I feel like there is, but I can't remember what it is called), but you can always use the Outfit Tools mod to do it anyway. Once you set the nude outfit, remove the piercings from your everyday outfit, and then they should only show when your sim gets naked.
