cleavagesweat Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 so... I guess most noobs ran into this prob in CK. when placing items in a cell you usually want a certain part to face a certain direction so you hold the right mouse button to rotate and there goes your straight orientation to the room. is there a key to rotate sharply 90 degrees? or at least a snap-to key that straightens? thanks...
myuhinny Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Not sure I always went with the fling it and go option as it was a pain to try to place something somewhere though sometimes it did make for some funny situations like having a chest floating about your head and the only way to get to it was jumping up into the air till you got close enough to it to open the chest. You can probably move it better in game with the grab key just don't sneeze or use relenting shout. Ever tried to pick up a pile of rings after you shouted them half way across the room into all corners of the room?

Swissenergy Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Turn on the Snap to Grid button to allow objects to "snap" together (which lines up certain objects that were designed to fit together). Turn on the Snap to Angle button to allow objects to rotate 45 degrees at a time. The buttons are the two just after the undo and redo buttons near the top. (So starting from the very left it goes: Load, Save, Preferences, Undo, Redo, Snap to Grid, Snap to Angle, etc...)
