danta Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I know the Skyrim is much older but by the time Skyrim was 2 years old we where much further in development. Nothing we get for fallout compares to the large mods we get for skyrim. Why ? Harder to make mods for ? Lack of interest ? Setting fan base What ?
myuhinny Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 It's new skyrim has been around a long time has tons of mods and everything is working and people tend to stick with what is already working instead of trying something that doesn't have a lot going for it yet.
aim4it Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Probably because the base game mechanics are pretty well balanced imo. That really just leaves content expansion mods, like new weapons, and Quest/Story based mods, the latter tends to take a lot more time to produce then small eps's that tweaks a few game settings. The lack of a full fledged script extender may also be hindering development of mods that require it's api's to function.
