Guest GingerTom Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 EDIT: Sorry, changed sites again--but I like this new site: Here's me on restorm.com www.gingertom.restorm.com I'm putting everything under CC license. I just moved from Jamendo to Bandcamp to restorm ( ) so I'm uploading everything again like a fool.
Guest flingingfeces Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Sweet stuff! I like that Rainy Day Screaming.
Guest GingerTom Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Thanks. I worked hard on it. I should say that I do all kinds of music, tomorrow I'm putting up my second Country/Rock album--it's pay.
Jerbsinator Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I used to play Clarinet (I know, guy playing a Clarinet...kinda gay...but whatever) and I enjoyed it but I stopped after High School.
Guest flingingfeces Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 My wife used to play it in high school. I don't think it's gay either. I played the Alto sax myself. Still have it, but it's been in my attic for more than ten years.
Jerbsinator Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 I think I still have my clarinet....somewhere. I tried looking for it a few weeks ago but couldn't find it. I'm pretty sure it's around somewhere though.
Guest GingerTom Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Sorry to be annoying like this but: Just changed sites again--but I like this new site: Here's me on restorm.com www.gingertom.restorm.com I'm putting everything under CC license. I just moved from Jamendo to Bandcamp to restorm ( ) so I'm uploading everything again like a fool.
Guest GingerTom Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 No more moving for me--I'm staying with restorm even if I die.
Guest GingerTom Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 New album just gone up: 'To Lie In Bed With You Is Sheet Music' www.gingertom.restorm.com It's for lovers.
Guest GingerTom Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Welcome to the GingerTom thread. Since I'm moving all my albums I might as well announce when I put them up (it shows up in google also so it becomes a plug for me and for LoversLab.) I'm putting two up a week until the end of June. Up today: 'A Day In The Life Of A Dog' Hi, everybody, my name is ‘Tor’. And have I got a fun day to tell you about. Well, you see, it all started when my young master was in a hurry to get to school and forgot to latch the front door properly. What? You didn’t know that dogs can turn doorknobs? Well…we can. Now, where was I…oh, yes… www.gingertom.restorm.com
Guest GingerTom Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 And we're off! And running again: Journey of A Life Excerpt from the review by Wolfsong.thePoet: Watch this album . . I mean listen to it like a movie . . finding the story in this life . .. and follow . . . GingerTom likes to create big music with a big purpose and he manages to pack quite a bit of story into his pieces . . . www.gingertom.restorm.com
Guest GingerTom Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 The Limping Man www.gingertom.restorm.com Review by Wolfsong.thePoet Entertaining us, right off the bat, with a sweet harmonica . . . which captivates my attention, as I'm so fond of the sound and then taking us on a long journey with so many styles of music . . eclectic and interesting . . . blues, jazz, dramatic strings, rock . . all part of the plot to tell us a story . . . Okay . . . so while listening to the music, which I could barely hear due to the loud laughter in the room . . . (where was that coming from? . . . oh ho . . ME!) . . .I learned one thing about GingerTom . . and that is that he loves drama with just a tad bit of mystery and a huge dose of comedy . . . and perhaps a little more alliteration than I care to let trip off my tongue . . . A word of advice . . . any attempt to translate this story to any other language will promptly give brain cramps to anyone deciphering this . . ummmm . . convoluted but entertaining story . . . At any rate . . . the overall effect of this album is pure entertainment . .. a mental movie so to speak . . great music and a funny story . . . And if one is so inclined . .. listen to the music, sans album description, and make your own story . .. it's excellent music for the tales of your head. . .. whatever they be and wherever they may lead you . . GingerTom, an excellent entertainer, .. . is so obviously enjoying himself that it pops out of his music and shoves aside any darkness or blues in our mood of the day . . . and insists on letting in a little refreshing humor . . .

utv Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 A new Split Orange tune posted on youtube. This one was somewhat controversial. (Got us kicked out of battle of the bands. lmao) If you're inclined towards religion it is advised not to listen.
Vulon Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Here's my newest track. If it's not obvious, I'm a huge fan of 80s music, haha. I have a pretty eclectic range of influences. Please do give it a listen.
Guest flingingfeces Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Freaking awesome tehmuffinmon! That's pure talent right there folks! Also it made me think of playing Sonic XD
chukkyjr Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 nice thread you got here, give me something to listen other than my ordinary music, i usually play or listen fingerstyle/instrumental acoustic guitars (though haven't been playing for like 5-6 months) and mostly only do covers of songs here is an idea of what i like that reminds me, might wanna do some cover again after picking up my guitar again
Monsto Brukes Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 haven't listened to any of the videos ("Shhh... you smell that?") but I wanted to add that I write birthday songs for my kids. I've been threatening to make a soundcloud page or just put em the fuck on youtube. Got 3 kids that I've done 2-3 songs each for their cakedays. Styles vary . . . zydeco, country & western (not cuntry), rap, rock, reggae, whatever strikes me at the moment. I'll get an inspiration and a couple hrs and slam something out. A week later I'll be like "you know what . . . that's not half bad, actually." at some point I'll be both not drunk and remember to setup soundcloud and then I'll have somethign to brag about here. oh btw . . . I use Reason 5. I was a music major in college (back in the 80s) and have some production experience.
Vulon Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Freaking awesome tehmuffinmon! That's pure talent right there folks! Also it made me think of playing Sonic XD Thanks! I made a remastered version of that track; most of it's subtle, but I think the remastered effects from 2:52 are quite noticeably improved - http://youtu.be/0QM2QmNmPaM And, here's another track I made not too long ago - http://youtu.be/UlK8E_UzHBE
Vulon Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Haha, thanks! Not to spam this thread, but I just uploaded three more tracks to my YouTube channel today, so I figured I might as well share 'em here. The first is a long, repetitive track with some DNB influence that's a work in progress. The second is a more-or-less finished version of a song I uploaded back in November of 2012, and the last is a short, interlude-type piece for the aforementioned song. http://youtu.be/D_0jQPUYkTc http://youtu.be/2LUpNAQtIVw http://youtu.be/5DeB1gN-FtE
markspend01 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Hey Guys well i think that when provided with the many and reveal benefits of music knowledge, officials at all levels should globally support a full, healthy, successive course of music training trained by certified teachers. Thanks!!
Kain82 Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I've been a guitarist for 20 years now. I've played with several local NY bands ranging from pop, classic rock to black metal.
