Crashing help

Hello LL members.

   I try very hard to follow correct modding guides and procedures as best as I understand them. But it seems that despite my best efforts I continue to make mistakes. So now I am seeking the assistance of someone more knowledgeable than I. I do realize that is not a very high bar to set   but there it is.

 

    So my issue, which appears to be a recurring theme. Is the CTD!!! Let me give you more info without Text walling you.

1. CTD happens AFTER successfully loading the zone. (in this case Volkihar Undercroft as I am going to find Serana's mother quest)
2. I see my avatar's back begin to render for a split second, then Desktop.
3. No displayed error code.
4. I did the papyrus logs and launched game, zone in and crashed, but no log was apparently created...?

Facelight has been giving alot of people crashs lately. You should look into its thread/posts at Nexus.

I see you have both UFO and EFF. You should only use one follower management mod. I myself prefer EFF.

Might want to slim down your load order abit. Do you really really need auto unequip ammo ? Slim and lean load orders give people less trouble.

Thanks for pointing the follower mods out. I thought I had uninstalled UFO when i switched to EFF. I must have accidentally reinstalled or didn't uninstall /sheepish. Good to know on facelight, it isn't needed so Buh bye. 

 

I'll slim down a little then. Do you have a suggestion for a good save game cleaner, or should I just start a new game after deleting these mods?

 

I only ask because I'm getting tired or resetting games.

Fallrim Tools is very nice for cleaning saves. It needs Java to work.

1 - make sure nothing overwrites your skeleton (XPMSE), its looks a bit high in load order to me (imho)

 

2 - make sure addons follow the mods they add to (you have SOS Average Smurf Addon above Schlongs of Skyrim when it should follow it).

 

you have some other SOS mods that I do not recognize offhand (if they are addons for Schlongs of Skyrim they should be after it in load order).

The other SOS is Sounds of Skyrim. I've used LOOT to sort load order. I'll manually adjust XPMSE down in load order. I'll get and try Fallrim.
