If someone is new to mods Wrye Bash can be intimidating to learn. Back when I started there was no guide so yea I learned the hard way. I can promise you the guide saved folks a lot of the head ache and heart ache of the mistakes I made while learning to use Wrye. This whole ordeal is edging closer to me thinking about making my own guide for wrye from scratch and throwing it up on the nexus as a protest to: "silly modders who pull their files in protest of something or other...... Especially since what he is complaining about (steamworks) has "nothing" to do with the nexus! So how does punishing nexus users effect steamworks users again?????? Nexus moderators honestly need to just delete the file completely so as to not let this type of thing spread. If he wants to protest...go get a sign and stand outside of Valve/Bethesda's offices or start a blog. This is disgusting behaviour. So fucking childish. It makes me sick. Let this asshole go. He deserves nothing. Losers like him are the problem. The pictorial guide was there to help people and now what has this puke gone and done. If there is something I can do, i'm not sure what since I am no WB expert. I love what it does but hate trying to use it! Bethesda didn't go around demanding people pull mods that change the experience system in Oblivion, or demanding that Fellout gets removed, or any other mod that removes/changes their "artistic vision" or whatever. I mean yeah, it's his mod and all that, but come on.

Listen, you all are missing a golden opportunity here... let me reiterate what greg said early on: This jackwad, and the other one, are part of the problem and it's good if they leave, even if they take their ball with them. Assholes like that an-heroing on the pyre of internet rage is good for all of us, because the next guy that comes along can post up a guide and say "here you go guys, edit away." The next one can do the same thing with Cities of Stupidity or whatever the mod is called. How can someone like Arthwhatever complain about a patch to his file "corrupting his artistic vision" when his file is doing the same goddamn thing to the vanilla files? Seriously. We should be *encouraging* other "like minded" modders to leave and take their shit with them. Maybe then there'd be room for some mature adults who know how to collaborate and share to step up.

I fully intended on making my own guide and posting it up there just to thumb my nose in his eye. Well if I had any doubts he was a whinny little bitch they are gone now. He took the file down as a protest and to force others to join his little cause. Let's see if I have this straight: 1. Your mad about a site doing something that you don't like. 2. You take down your file (which as nothing at all to do with your plugin or the site you are taking down your file from) to protest something or other (he never really comes clean on exactly what he wants done, nor has the slightest clue of a plan to "fix" things). 3. Ends up punishing people that have nothing at all to do with the "site" or "people" or "mods" that he is mad at. 4. Thinks that this is acceptable behavior. Yep, I think we can safely file him in the whinny bitch category and close that file.
