Dagoon is situated around ten miles from the coast of Simscotland, and is the largest of a group of largely uninhabited islands. The only access to the island is by boat and so provides an exclusive setting for the residents that have chosen to call it home.Most houses do not have electricity yet and frankly, most residents prefer it that way. Dagoon sports the ruins of a monastery that dates back some 1200 years to the legendary times of Ulrik The Thug and also to be found on the island are other bronze age archeological sites that are studied by a small group of resident scientists. The research station is one of the few buildings on the island with rudimentary power. At the heart of the community is the single pub on the island, The Worried Lamb, where locals will meet most evenings to complain about the government on the mainland, drink warm beer and play darts and dominoes. To watch over the morals of the small community there is also a small church presided over by the local vicar who resides in the vicarage. The whole island is the property of the Lord or Laird of Dagoon who lives in Dagoon Castle. Now if you are expecting a medieval castle, you will be sadly disappointment as Dagoon Castle has more in common with a stately home. So if you feel the urge to get away from it all then the Isle of Dagoon is just the place for you! About The World I made this island around 2 years ago and have played it nonstop ever since. It is built on a medium size map but due to the routing is deceptively large. I have all the expansion packs. I have just been through the world and have taken out all the CC. There are no routing issues and the world runs very quickly and smoothly. I tend to keep the number of families small as I like to cram as much custom content into my games as possible! The world has a number of houses included and a few community lots but I have left the world uninhabited ready for you to move your own families in. I do have other lots that I have made for the game such as woodland, schools, ports and a few others and would be happy to de-CC them if anyone would be interested. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy playing this little world and would like to extend my thanks to all the contributors to this community that have added so much to the game over the years. playervlad1999 Posted April 3, 2017 Author Posted April 3, 2017 Dagoon Jetty It's summer on Dagoon at the moment. Even somewhere as remote as this occasionally gets tourists. The only way for tourists to get to the isle of course is by boat via Dagoon Jetty. About Dagoon Jetty This is built on a 30x20 lot (no visitors allowed) and is placed near bonfire beach next to the derelict timbers from the last jetty. When you place the lot, for some reason the rowing boat turns into a balloon and floats above the lot. Just click on the boat and it will return to its moorings at the end of the quay. The only custom content that you will need is the fantastic fishing boat from Noir and Dark Sims, the link is below. playervlad1999 Posted April 5, 2017 Author Posted April 5, 2017 Deep Tarn On a hot summers day the residents of Dagoon had only one choice if they wanted to go for a dip, and that was to go to the beach. That was until an enterprising Sim who was fishing at Three Ways Tarn found that it was actually possible to swim in the cold waters without dying. Other residents tried swimming in the tarn and decided that it was a good alternative to swimming in the sea. Working together, they dragged out the dead sheep and occasional hiker, dredged out the weeds, concreted some steps onto the bank and renamed the lake Deep Tarn. About Deep Tarn This lot is a replacement for Three Ways Tarn. Simply delete that lot and put Deep Tarn in its place. When making the lot swimmable, I had to include steps because the Sims refused to exit the lake otherwise. To get a Sim out of the pool simply click on the steps and use the command use steps. Around the edges of the pool Sims can still go fishing but watch out for the midges! Download - Deep Tarn.7z 1

playervlad1999 Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 Dagoon Leisure Centre Sheep After the rather unfortunate incident involving the vicar, a pair of green wellington boots and Flossy the sheep, the Laird of Dagoon decreed that all sheep should be removed from the island. After a very short time however the vegetation started to take over and it became obvious that it would have been better for the sheep to stay and the vicar to go! The next ferry to the island brought back the sheep and took the vicar away to a nice inner city parish where there would be no temptation or need to don the a fore mentioned footwear. About Sheep You will need to download Katvip’s sheep from from this site. Katvip's Sheep (Required) - http://murfeelee.tumblr.com/post/98301816716/ts2-to-ts3-sheep-conversion-request The lots come in either 10x10 or 25x25. I have them set as no visitor allowed lots as the sheep do not move around much. Place in the middle of fields etc. If you do want sheep and cattle that wander around, there are some conversions of horses and dogs at Mod the Sims. Personally I don’t like my sheep to bark but I will include the links anyway.
