The Curse of the Crash

I for the life of me cannot figure out why i am stuck on the main menu of fallout new vegas. I can't even get past the screen that lists the info about the game and the obsidian logo/title. it just crashes


I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled


I've verified the integrity 


i've launched with no mods installed.

I am seriously at a loss here.

When you uninstalled the game did you delete everything out of the folder and then reinstall it back? When you uninstall it only removed what it initially installed so anything that you added or installed.

 

A crash at the logo is almost always a missing master or a master is below the one requiring it to be above it in the load order. Download and run FNVedit it'll tell you if any of your mods have missing masters or the master is below the one needing it above it. Read and fix the problem and then keep closing and start ing it till it can load up everything without hitting anymore errors in the .oad order then try the game again.
