Not sure if they were DOS games or early windows, but there were the early entries in the Leisure Suit Larry series that are the first to come to mind. Let me dig through my article archives and see if I can turn up some reviews I read a long while back as I think one did cover adult DOS/Win9x games.

If you do track down Knights, make sure you get a patched version; the company that released it only sold the game with all the hentai locked. You had to get a patch to unlock it. I'm not sure if they did the same thing with Cobra Mission or not. It's been a long time.
