Here is my Modwatch info: https://modwat.ch/u/Smasher277 My problem started as soon as I began a new game. During the intro, the cart kept spasming all over the place so I played without any mods until right before I got to make my character. (It wasn't a problem with my FPS being too high. My ENB was limiting it to 60.) At that point, I saved and loaded up my modded game, made my char and continued with the intro. But when Alduin came I was never given control of my char and just laid there on the chopping block as the dragon destroyed the town. So I loaded the vanilla game and got through that part. When I entered the cave I saved and loaded my modded game again. It seemed to be working fine, I got all the way to Riverwood before I encountered another problem. When Gerdur, Ralof, and Hod went over to that one tree near the water to talk, their dialogue never started. I could still talk to them though, and Frodnar even walked up and spoke to Ralof, but the quest dialogue never started... I don't know what mod can make this problem occur, but maybe you guys do. Help will be greatly appreciated.Thanks guys! -Smasher277
khumak Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 The best way to resolve the cart issue when you first start the game is to use Alternate Start. Even if you're going to do the vanilla start, Alternate start lets all your mods load up in the prison cell where they won't break anything. Go ahead and create your character and wait a few minutes for all the mods to finish loading and running their start up scripts, then if you want to do the vanilla start just activate the statue of Mara and pick the vanilla start. Now the cart ride will work fine because all your mods are already loaded and won't interfere with the base game's start sequence.
Yuanmonos Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Try disabling something with scripts. I had problems with both Life another live and Immersive Armors. After getting rid of LAL I got the cart thing. Which stopped after disabling IA. Not sure about the other thing though. Hm, try enabling Papyrus log in your Skyrim.ini. With that enabled you can track some of the wrong goings a bit. Espacially if a script if causing CTD.

The carriage didn't spasm out this time but after Alduin attacks and Ralof tells me to get up, I still remain on the ground and I do not gain control of my character. Any other ideas about what could be wrong?
khumak Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Make sure to run LOOT. Most of the conflicts I run into are just load order problems.

I always run LOOT after I install a new mod. So my load order isn't the problem... And when I ran SSEEdit it finished with no errors. I'll search through my mods one by one and disable the ones I think may cause the problem. I'll post back here with the result.

It was just taking a while to begin because Hod's AI was having a hard time navigating Kato's Riverwood. I'm still having the problem of not being able to move during the dragon attack though. khumak Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I'm the wrong person to ask about deciphering Papyrus logs but I am using Kato's Riverwood, Immersive Armors, and Alternate Start among other things and I just started a new game to test something. I don't do the vanilla start so I can't confirm any issues with the opening dragon scene. All other dragon fights I've seen work fine though. I use the "camping in the woods" start which puts you just outside Helgen as if you had been camping next to Helgen when the dragon attacked. Basically as close to the vanilla start as possible without having to actually do the full cart ride + Escape from Helgen scene. I followed Ralof to Riverwood and the conversation with Gerdur and Hod worked fine. The only problem I'm having now is not gaining control of my character when the dragon attacks. I disabled some mods to see if it would help but so far none of the mods I've disabled were the cause. I played vanilla again until I reached Helgen Keep then played modded. After I fight the last of the Imperials and Ralof pulls the lever to drop the bridge he just stands there on the other side and doesn't go with me to the next part of the cave where I fight the spiders. This is just another example of something that "won't start". And by "won't start" I mean there is a mod or something that prevents one event from triggering (or starting) another. (Assuming that's how the game works.) Is there anyone else who knows how to read the Papyrus log?
DarkFlame277 Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 I finally figured out what mod was causing the problem. It was Realistic Death Physics. The mod's description warns about my problem but I didn't read it. I should have installed the mod after the opening scene. But I'm using No Spinning Death Animation now so it doesn't matter.Thanks for trying to help me guys!
