VotW Plugin - Zetan Files

This is another plugin for the Videos of the Wasteland mod by Razorwire. This particular plugin adds two reels playable at the Starlight Drive-In Theater once you have repaired it. Or for those that prefer, grab the holotape version and get treated to four holotapes for use with Razorwire's powered TV holotape player (no it doesn't work on your pipboy).

Obviously the first plugin requires the Votw Starlight Drive-In module available at

in order to function properly. You'll also need to have 30 steel inside the Starlight Drive-In workshop to repair the movie screen, as well as enough other materials to craft some power for the projector.

 

The second plugin just requires use of Videos of the Wasteland v1.4a main file (at the same link as above).

 

The two projector reels can be found on the Zetan once the alien ship has crash landed (so you'll need to be level 20). You can always add them via the console by searching for "human sex exp." - but where is the fun in that?

 

The holotapes can be found the same way - for the moment it'd kind of one or the other. But you can search for both types using the console - if you load both versions. For the holotapes just search for "Zetan" and you should find them. The form IDs were XX000800, XX000802, XX000804 and XX000806 (where XX is based on load order).

 

The videos are each about 2 minutes long, and show a small snippet of just why the Zetan's are interested in Earthlings.

 

Issues:
I've noticed a small issue when loading multiple VotW plugins through the NMM. For some reason NMM seems to think all of these mods are updates of the same original mod. So if you have any other VotW plugins (such as the Vault 69 reels by Skottorp), and then want to load these as well, do not select "update". Instead choose to install "normally" and it will work fine. If you update, you will instead delete the other mod (which would be unfortunate).

 

Attempting to load both versions of these two plugins doesn't give you both the holotapes and the projector reels, one overwrites the other. I was fighting the CK at the time, and didn't want to chance it. I'm working on something more interesting (I hope) using these guys, and then maybe I'll fix the problem.

Searching for human sex exp. doesn't bring anything up, and the alien already spawned. Could you please just give us the item IDs?

Searching "Help Human 4 misc" did the trick.

Glad you were able to find it.  In a completely new game, the alien should spawn with the tapes on him.  In my testing, I had to type in:

 

help "human sex exp." 4

 

in order to get the item IDs to appear.  Not knowing your load order, I couldn't be sure of the first two numbers of course, so XX000801 and XX000804 might have worked, but they might not for everyone.  But still, you found them anyway.

I haven't played with the regular TV versions yet, but I can experiment in the next couple of days - no reason I shouldn't be able to port them over.  

 

To be honest, I just liked the idea of having large screen porn playing whenever I entered that cell.  It's especially nice when flying overhead using the vertibird (since I usually play survival mode I tend not to fast travel).

Okay, I've played around with making the holotapes, and I've gotten them to work - mostly.  Making the tape themselves was easy.  In fact, I have four of them now (versus the two projector reels - gotta love improvements in technology man - these are like betamax).

 

The problem is trying to get them into the game.  Me and the CK have always had "issues".  The reason I placed the original projector reels into the Zetan's inventory instead of lying on the ground?  Because the CK wasn't letting me place anything into the cell directly.  Adding items into an actor's inventory?  NP.  Drag an object into the render window just like all the tutorials show you?  No dice.

 

This time around, I can place the objects into the alien's inventory, but then I can't save the plug-in.  I get the error "You must close all dialog boxes before saving."  Which would be fine if I had any open dialog boxes.  

 

So maybe it means "in game dialog boxes" (although I don't know why, since I never touched anything related to dialog, but whatever).  There are like 35 different dialog trees associated with the alien (for no reason I can fathom at all), and no way for me to determine if any of them are wrong, linked badly, invalid, not actually associated but picked up in error, or if I'm just an idiot who knows just enough to get himself in way over his head but not enough to understand a damn thing.  Very likely the latter.

 

So anyway, I can't save them yet.  I'll keep playing and see if I can make them stick in the next couple of days.  Stay tuned (or tooned).

Well to be fair, all I really did was convert over a few short clips I found online about 2 years ago.  Always loved them but I could never find the full video.  Until about 2 months ago when I finally found the whole thing.  :-)  

 

Unfortunately it's about 37 minutes long, so no way I can port the entire thing into the fallout universe without major chopping and taking up most of a weekend doing the conversion. and assuming I can ever get the CK to do my bidding like it is supposed to.

 

But the full video is pretty sweet - assuming you dig the whole tentacle thing that is.

 

 

Now as far as pointers, all I can really say is check post #2 above.  And assume the Zetans will use about 100 or so in a long probing fashion to get their "point" across...

I thought you meant you inserted a small 'easter egg' or short 2-3 sec clip into that entire clip featuring why exactly the Zetans want earthling women XD Whereas you meant that the entire video IS the small snippet itself, haha.

I wish I was that talented.  Perhaps if I can around to understanding the CK, or taking it down to the basement and beating it with a stick for a while, I might be able to expand on the zetan mod a bit more - I'd like to make a short area to explore, with some actual equipment and the like - put the holotapes in there, and make it more "natural" feeling.  But the fact I can't save something minor is beginning to annoy me greatly.

I managed to find the original full length video again for those that are interested in seeing or d/l it for themselves.  It has a really stupid title on the site I found it at this time, "spaceship monster escaped tentacles fucks girl pilot" which is just a bunch of tags describing the vid, and not the original title of the video at all (which was in Japanese).

As for the other poster above who wanted to know where fallout4.esm is located - that would be in your main fallout 4 directory - likely..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4  or wherever you've installed the game.  Not sure why you need to know that however.

The Star Trek parodies are close (I just don't like them) and most of the others I've seen are short on the effects budget.  Although some of the tentacle stuff from Japan is surprisingly good.

Bettie Page did do the common softcore pics and videos then.  They are out there, might try to convert them to be usable.  Some were related to BDSM!  Only concern would be copyright issues, but I believe that is not an issue with the stuff from the 30's to 70's.
