Gameplayer Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Reviving this thread but I'm legit curious -- in what way does CBBE differ from UUNP other than UUNP having a higher mesh quality, no groin slider (due to the implementation of UUNP Special), and UUNP's many new imitation sliders? wtf.jpg Like, check it. Even with my garbage editing skills the base shape still comes out identical. Is there something I'm missing? Weighting is definitely a thing, but if you compare basic UUNP and basic CBBE they're minimal, and for the famed buttcrack issue Bazinga got a fix going over at his thread. Well at least with UUNP, I know that RMA UUNP, The Book of UUNP, Devious Devices UUNP, all DeserterX aka Nsk13 Outfits, and well a whole bunch of other stuff all works seamlessly together. Do you know why all that stuff works together? Cause I built all the sliders for all that stuff, and it matters cause in the game when stuff works....how it should....I mean come on, can a CBBE slider author say that you will be as happy with their CBBE Devious stuff and insert random other CBBE mod by some other author....no no no I don't think so. Is there a CBBE author for sliders that can claim the same? How many of those CBBE slider authors can claim to have produced 100 brand new armors with slider support in the last two months? I know I did that for Book of UUNP.....All of which is not available in CBBE.
meme supreme Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 UUNP was purposely molded into the CBBE shape for use in Bodyslide. The two are still different, the specifics of which I couldn't tell you since I'm no expert but can be plainly seen by the sliders not morphing the two bodies in the exact same ways. I checked this and the differences are there but they're minimal. Not to mention having like 30 new sliders does back you up if you find one slider isn't doing what it used to. I switched from CBBE to UUNP on a whim and I never noticed anything though, besides things looking smoother. I know I did that for Book of UUNP.....All of which is not available in CBBE. I do agree that what you've done is impressive. Keep it up doggg

The easiest way to tell is to try and apply a preset to the CBBE body, and then apply the same preset to the UUNP body. Textures aside, the difference is pretty noticeable then.
khumak Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Attacking mod authors for not doing exactly what you want is pretty sad. If you think you can do it better, go for it. The new version of CBBE sounds great to me. If it was UUNP only instead, I'd be just as happy. I really haven't messed with the sliders much but personally, I prefer the default CBBE shape to the default UUNP shape. Most of my attempts to use sliders to create different looking characters result in weird looking mutants rather than anything resembling a person so I'll leave that to someone who's better at it.

And if it's not us that do it, it's gonna be nobody, since it's our mod that took tons of work and we want to keep control and ownership over it.
Lodakai Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 Generally speaking... (and in my opinion) CBBE = better curves UUNP = Better slim/petite/athletic Both are good and can be fit into whatever shape you want. Look at some of the different presets available and go with the one you find most appealing to your taste. I recommend downloading both with mod organizer... look at the presets with bodyslide... and see how well you can customize them to match the shapes and weight ranges that you find appealing to you. Also look at some of the armor/clothing pieces you want.. plan ahead.. and see how easy it is to find the bodyslide files to adapt them to the shape you want. Now you have the answer to which one you want to use.
BringtheNoise Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 I'm just waiting for Nightasy to port Jane Body from Fallout 4 to SSE..... Fine print: I am being sarcastic, but I would not mind if the JB body was ported to SSE and used UNP's uv map.... maybe that could be the JBUNP.... who knows... I'm going back to lurking.
Lodakai Posted March 10, 2017 Posted March 10, 2017 JBUNP is old school my friend. You need to be using JBUNPTBBP. It's the best there is !!!1111!!!!oneoene!!!!1!! zomgbbqsauce Also.. I demand you start working on JBUUNPTBBP-PE right now! For FREE! NOW!
loopie Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 For me it comes down to adult and sex modding, and in my experience I have had much better results with UUNP Special rather then CCBE + COS. Much more detail on available bodies and textures, HDT, collisions, and while it all started out scattered thus UNP was horrific to put together and install etc. its much refined now. My favorite became Leyenda Body, Leyenda Skin and UUNP Special on bodyslide. Easy to install even manually, very nicely matched and comes with perfectly working vag.
