ToJKa Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 So, on this new system exiting New Vegas always freezes the system on black screen, and the only way to do anything is to force it shut down. Last time i did that on my old system the SSD broke, so i'm not keen on the idea of doing that This is vanilla install just with nvse and the memory expander. Windows 10 Home 64b, GTX1080 with latest drivers. Anyone know a way to make this work without resorting to a virtual machine running older OS?
dborg2 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Are you also using the NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash. Some of the graphic cards had a driver-update where Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas stopped working. NVAC has a fix to make it compatible again.
ToJKa Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Forgot about that one. Doesn't help, though.
ToJKa Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 Also remembered Stutter remover and it's fast exit funtion. Also doesn't help. Can alt-tab and force it shut, but would be nice to not have to.
ToJKa Posted March 12, 2017 Author Posted March 12, 2017 Turned out my system is too advanced for these games G-Sync issue, had to set Refresh Rate to Application Controlled in NVidia control panel. Now it works Same thing also happened with Skyrim, and would have also happened with the older games. Fallout 4 never suffered from this.
