Changing your Spouse's Clothing

With my male PC play through, I want him to have a housewife. I don't like the idea of him marrying a follower and have her stay at home with the kids when she can be out with him kicking ass.

 

I play my male PC as a player, so he'll have his hot housewife at home with their kids and maybe his bastards and shagging his followers but, I have no option to change his wife's clothes. AFT will do this with followers but, a regular NPC that one marries is not a follower. I tried that marriage mod "to have and to hold" but it has been extremely buggy and problematic and it had a outfit manager - unfortunately I can't use it, even in a fresh game.

 

So is there a good, reliable, simple mod that will allow me to change my guy's wife's outfits?

Make them a follower, assign them either a generic outfit (Iron armor, farmer clothes, etc) or a custom outfit, dismiss them.

Use the "Ring of Fashion Designer" to remove the default clothes and give any npc the clothes you want, lock these clothes.  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11662/?

Unlock and release followers you want to give devious devices.
