You see, the problem is that they force you to log into the site using a valid nexusmods login just to even use the application. So, if you don't want to or can't log into their site, then without this cracked version you are S.O.L. and can't use the application.

Doesn't take long to login. 5 seconds maybe? You just want your privacy? The NMM doesn't monitor what you are doing on your computer. I've been using it since it came out and there is nothing wrong with it. You have bigger issues then them monitoring you. You see, the problem is that they force you to log into the site using a valid nexusmods login just to even use the application. So, if you don't want to or can't log into their site, then without this cracked version you are S.O.L. and can't use the application. All companies do that with their programs not just the Nexus.

In the spirit of transparency: In that case feel free to download the version from the nexus website, and only download the Crack, which is only a text file (XML, but it is plain text). You can open the text file in notepad++ and see that it is only text and see exactly how I cracked it. Just make sure to download the same version (0.14.1). You can compare the version I included (You can't download it from the NexusMods website if you are banned though), and the same version one on the NexusMods website. You will see it is 100% identical. I only included it because if you are banned from the NexusMods website then you cannot download it. I have not tested the crack on the newest version of the Mod Manager, but the newest version is buggy so in fact the 14.1 version is the best version to use. When you compare the file from the NexusMods website and the file I included, you will see that I have not added anything to the .exe file. I only changed the authorizations in the XML file to bypass the login.

They DO ban your IP address and it is Impossible to get around unless you change your entire internet connection! I even tried using proxies back when I was banned, but it didn't work. The only way I can have an account is because we got a new internet account and now I could create a new account. Thanks to the scummy NexusMods website, I could not log into their website or download mods, except from a friend's house, for Months!!! I was so mad, that's why I did this for everyone. Also the reason I was banned? Here is why: They assumed I stole the game, which is not only self-righteous and none of their business, but also not true. I am a bit paranoid and I can't stand having to log into Steam, so I use the cracked version. I was Helping Another user in chat, and told them the install path, and a moderator in chat saw my install path and immediately banned me because he said "no pirating, permanently banned". If you don't believe me, try it. Watch how fast you are permanently banned your IP from the nexusmods website. Just go to chat and say "hey my install path is c:/program files/the elder scrolls v" You know what? I even showed them my Steam account that I actually bought the game (can't fake that!), but they said "too bad, you could have bought the game after the fact, banned forever". Like seriously! Even if I HAD bought it after the fact, I still BOUGHT IT! They are self-righteous scum bags. So I cracked it so that other people don't have to have the same sadness I had for those months, and I make new torrents with all the mods so that other innocent people banned from the nexus are not S.O.L.

Just google "dante ban nexus" (without quotes) and you'll quickly see the plethora of users with the same problem.

Thing is, Steam wants to keep updating and then things like SKSE don't work. I say, "If it's not broken, don't fix it!" If you use a cracked version of Skyrim, then you can be sure that one day you won't open the game and suddenly it's got all these bugs, or you have to wait 30 minutes for it to download all these stupid updates you didn't ask for, or suddenly your mods don't work, because they aren't compatible with the version of Skyrim that Steam automatically updated you to. As long as you're not going through Steam you don't have to worry about all this. Only way to do that is to use the cracked version of Skyrim.

Well to be honest, 1) I didn't know that was Nexus Forum policy, and 2) honestly I didn't know that that wasn't the standard directory because even after I bought it through Steam I never actually installed it through Steam. Skyrim is the only game I ever bought through Steam (because it's the only way to buy it online). Other game I bought was through Direct2Drive (RSV2) and that game isn't compatible with Steam. The rest of my games are on PS3. Oh, and 3) I never actually mentioned "crack" or "cracked version" or "cracked skyrim" or anything like that. I was just trying to help another user on chat who couldn't find his skyrim directory. So much for trying to help someone.
