Shadowhawk827 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I'm hoping somebody has figured this out already. My problem is that I have arrows going high. Yes, I know, sounds like the standard bug after installing Arrows and Bolts Tweaks. I *HAVE* adjusted the ini file as the mod suggests. NOTHING makes a difference in terms of settings. It also only happens in first person mode. Third person mode works fine. I can set the number anywhere and when shooting across the Companions training yard, the arrow will always hit at the top of the circular targets. third person mode works fine though. I have a massive mod list and I've tried stripping out almost all of it (I use MO) and I still can't fix the bug either. Discouraging. I come back to the game after a year plus away (health issues) and I can't get it to work for my preferred play style. Hoping somebody has an idea here.
macnchz Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I have had bugs with MO that couldnt be fixed. I ultimately had to create a new profile in MO mod list (the left panel) and intall all the mods I used. Strangely it fixed my unsolvable issues. (one with HDT and one with mesh/textures). If you do do this, only load 10 at a time, then run LOOT, Bash and test your game. Then do the next ten. STEP helps a great deal with modding skyrim. Also grab the new LOOT and Bash program updates and run them through MO (MO is using legacy LOOT internally).
Khajiirah Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Did you change your 3rd Person or your 1st Person camera height a bit? Maybe with a Mod, or with the Racemenu Camera Tab? Please always remember: Your character will shoot arrows not at your Target (Crosshair), Because the Crosshair will also get "Lifted UP" when you change the 1st Person OR 3rd Person Camera height. There is also a RaceMenu Plugin, this here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/45235/? lf you use this Mod, please do not change your Characters Arm Size/Length, Ankle Size/Length, Tight Size/Length, Pelvis, Spine, Calf... etc. Because then your Arrows will be smaller, also your Hands in 1st Person (Also if you save your char then als a Preset it will give Problems while loading this Preset again.) I use this Mod, but many Sliders will cause bugs on your 1st Person and 3rd Person Character Model. Well, as far as i know, in vanilla skyrim my arrows always hit the target in 1st person, and in 3rd person it did shoot a bit higher. The crosshairs in 3rd person and 1st person arent art the same Positions OR the arrows i did shoot, dont hit the same positions in 1st and 3rd person. Your Probem here seems the opposite way, you hit in 3rd Person and shoot over your target in 1st person? As far as i know there is No Mod which makes 3rd person and 1st Person arrows hit the Corshairs target. All i did was i changed my 3rd Person Camera... Well, as far as i k
Shadowhawk827 Posted February 8, 2017 Author Posted February 8, 2017 Khajiirah that was good info that I hadn't considered. I never mess with skeleton lengths though because I've had it cause freaky clipping issues and other weirdness in the past. As it turns out, macnchz had the right answer though. In my eagerness to get started again, I'd just loaded up MO with a ton of mods and hopped into the game. It brainfarted so bad that the archery was bugged and even changing profiles didn't help. Going back and doing it the right way and installing and activating mods in smaller clusters has fixed it. Now I'm bullseye shooting things right and left again. Thanks for the help, both of you.
