Main Menu Not Working

I have been trying to fix this myself but I have had no luck in doing so. Another thing I found very odd is that I disabled all esp and esm except for the core game files and it made no difference. I have not made any recent changes to the set of mods being used either and it worked last time I played it. I am forever stuck at the main menu screen without the main menu options or my cursor showing up. Any ideas on what this could be would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a UI issue. Do you have UIO?

I have UHUD installed and I have an alternative background for the startup menu installed (which has never had a problem before and uninstalling it did nothing). I don't know if that's what you were thinking of or not. 

 

Also, I forgot to mention that when the game gets stuck at the main menu without the options showing up, I am forced to ctrl,alt,del and end process to get out of it. I also noticed the game is not drawing anywhere near the cpu usage it should (as expected from this kind of error).

 

On a side note to that, Geck will have the same type of crash (loading forever) if I try to load any esp or esm file. I was thinking of re-verifying the integrity of my game files to see if that would help but I didn't want to do that if I didn't have to.

Found the problem. One of my esp files was being loaded silently even if it wasn't attached to any of the esps that were loaded.

Can i ask how you figured that out? I can't even get to the main menu with everything disabled.
