Skooma Den in Riften

So none of my PCs have been to an actual Skooma Den before, one of my girls is destitute, a beggar that lives in an inn, and sells her body to pay for her addiction. I have her purchase the drugs from Khajit vendors and whatnot. But, I recently downloaded Skooma Whore and want her to live in an actual den in Riften. My only problem is that I can't get to it.

I searched on Google for "list of Skooma Dens in Skyrim," "Where is the Skooma Den in Riften," etc. and Skyrim Wiki listed a few places to get skooma and mentioned one den. There were lots of results coming back with "Redwater Den" and I went to the location but, there was no entrance, that I could find, in that "inn" to a den. I also saw a video on YouTube entitled "Finally found the Skooma Den in Riften" and I went to the same location by the docks and was instantly killed by bad guys and skeevers when I entered the place but, the guy in the video was not attacked.

So my questions are: Is gaining access to the Skooma Den in Riften a quest or part of the Thieves Guild? I really don't want any spoilers in regards to the Thieves guild since that's something I want to do in my main play through so I'm hoping the den and the guild are not connected.

If it requires neither could someone please tell me how to get to it? Thanks in advance.

Well, there is no actual Skooma Den in vanilla or dlc Skyrim. Redwater Den is a place connected to the Dawnguard (vampire) questline, the entrance is a trapdoor in the derelict house guarded by two (friendly) bandits. That house on the Riften docks is connected to the thane-quest of Riften... there is an female argonian begging for a health potion, speak to her to get that line started... Other than that: you'd have to search for mods...

Hmm... I'm reading the description page for Skooma Whore and the mod author says this: "In all of the 5 major cities is one skooma den. They can be found in locations where scum and drug dealers can be expected. Just look carefully around."

I'll look for that female Argonian and see what happens. Thank you. :)

IIRC the Skooma Whore den in Riften can be entered through the Ratway, through the door past the oil trap.

I seem to recall something about an alternate entrance in Beggar's Row too, but I could be mistaken. About both, actually. ;)

I'll have to go back to the Ratway and Beggar's Row and look for it! Thanks a bunch!

Thank you very much for that info! :D

I'm just a bit confused about the mod. I'm reading all the posts in that thread and it sounds as if the mod adds dens in each of the cities or alters them in some way. I watched the review video by Shinji72 on the OP and he says something like "...there are whispers of secret dens opening up all over Skyrim...and we just found one in..."

There are dens in each city, but they can be hard to find. I honestly can't remember where they all are, too. But that's for the most recent version - do you have an older version, like the one before the dens opened? In that case, the only "den" is the one at Mixwater Mill.

Wujeeta and the Cragslane Cavern quest are vanilla, not from Skooma Whore.

I've never downloaded it before. So I have the most recent.

I was the one that made the skooma dens in Skooma whore mod.

As I recall. The riften one can be accessed through the Ratway.

Solitude can be accessed through some manholes. I think there is a secrete passageway under the bards college.

There is another one in Windhelm in the dark elf inn on the East wing of the city. It's behind the wardrobe.

The one in Whiterun can be accessed from left water grate as soon as you enter the town. Just turn left and swim your way up there. There are 3 other entrances but that's the easiest to describe.

The last one is in Markarth. It is in the warrens

These also add some nice touches for the Skooma Whore.

I'm not a fan of Slave Girls and I loved the idea of the Skooma Bar but, the mod conflicts with anything placed in Ratway. Thanks for the suggestions, though. Much appreciated!

Brilliant! Excellent job on the dens. I managed to find the one in Riften and got straight to work. Thank you for posting the locations of all the other ones! :D

This mod intertwined with the vanilla thievesguild questline and leads you to a fully operational skooma lab.

Become a Skooma Drug Lord - Skooming Skyrim http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/65259/?

Only problem is that buying skooma for 20 from Khajit caravans and seling it for 200 seems like cheating :)

Well, drug lords aren't exactly known for selling narcotics at a cheap price. ;)

That mod sounds cool, I'll turn one of my PC's into Tony Montana. :D
