WelkinDust Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 So for some reason if I try to download any of the WickedWhims animations from this forum, I hit a page that tells me I don't have permission/access. Anyone else getting this problem? Yes I'm absolutely logged in, but I cannot download. I've tested downloads from other games like Skyrim or Fallout 4 and those are working fine. It's just this section I'm having problems with, for some reason. I'm on Windows 10 Anniversary edition using Google Chrome. I've also tried using Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox but hit the exact same problem so I doubt it's my browser. Any help would be great.

jhjuil Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Glad(ish) to see it's not just me. I guess it is a fault on the forum... not sure. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. I have cleared cookies, cache, and history. I tried using a different browser. I even tried creating a new account just to see if somehow my account was restricted (which I just created my account a day or two ago...so I shouldn't be)

You are newer members so there might be a time out or restrictions etc. for a brief time I left a comment on a thread that many contributors moderators and such wlil see. perhaps they might be able to shed some light on this I won't be here for awhile but if you link or tell me which ones you are having problems with I can try those as well. Which would make it a permissions issue not a browser issue or site (tech) issue.

I left a note in a thread where the moderators and Contributors can see perhaps they might be able to figure this out. Might be you have to make a few post before you are able to download. However the reason I am responding is the OP has 5 post... (not sure if that was when he / she originally posted this thread or current post count )

However I believe Ashal is working on the site changing out and adding sections so that might just be because of this. (I might be accessing a cached version of the site. )
SCarverOrne Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Downloads section only lists Skyrim, Skyrim SE, Fallout 4, and Oblivion. There are no longer Sims categories, or categories for any "Other" games. I'm guessing they were going to re-do the categories in the downloads gallery like they did splitting the various Sims forums up, and there was a snag they either do or do not know about. I'm not gonna bug them, I'm sure if Ashal wasn't aware he will be next time he logs on. Worst case scenario the site gets another rollback.

sh1ny Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It looks like ritualclarity has a different set of permissions. I don't see 'Other' section, nor can I download anything for The Sims. Maybe it's post count that matter? Or for modders only? I can only guess. @Ashal Thanks! Upd.: I see 'Other' downloads now. Thank you for the fix!
RitualClarity Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It is likely different "group" listed is what is causing the difference. I am in a different "group" and those new are ina different "group" so the permissions have been messed up. I don't know for sure but it has happened before. Sometimes it happens to me as well to others with different groups. I had that happen at a site I was Admin/Moderator. Everyone here should check out the discord chat. IT is one way to get quick response to a problem like these.

jhjuil Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I'm assuming it's fixed now. Whenever I was trying to download before, I was on my desktop. I waited for a bit and then II wanted to test it from my Chromebook and it was letting me download again. Also, The Sims 4 is showing up in the Downloads. Haven't tested it on my desktop though.*Edit* Just checked my desktop and it's all downloading again. Thanks so much for your quick response.
