How do I use UUNP?

I'm giving serious consideration to trying out the UUNP body type that seems to be growing in popularity.  But I have a few questions about it.

 

How exactly do you use it?  From what I've read it seems to be some sort of plug-in for the latest version of Bodyslide.  I just installed the latest version of Bodyslide (mine was a few versions old).  I checked all the options I could for UUNP HDT.  Is that it?  Is that all I need to do?  I used to use CBBE Bodyslide before and had the regular CBBE mod installed alongside it.  Do I need to install UNP as well? 

 

I suppose once I do get it up and running I'll need to tweak the body to my liking again.  But since UUNP is seemingly based on UNP, could I still install outfits intended for UNP?  Like right now I can install normal CBBE outfits.  When equipped they don't adjust to my custom bodyslide body.  No clipping or deformity.  Just everything reverts back to vanilla proportions.  Does this work with UNP too? 

 

And I'm guessing once I get UUNP running I can't really use my old CBBE outfits.  I'll need to see if I can find UNP or UUNP versions? 

 

Forgive what are probably all very stupid questions.  Its been so long since I've had to deal with changing body types that I've forgotten how a lot of things work.  Any help is appreciated.

CBBE and UNP use different UV maps you can only use the other one if 1) the breast area is covered 2) the hips are covered. If one or the other or both are not covered then you don't want to use them or you will have nasty hip and breast marks as well as the nipple textures being off. UNP and UUNP are the same except that UUNP works in bodyslide. The older UNP bodies also have some flaws in then that prevent you from adding done nodes the a body or outfit/armor because the body will shift in the nif.

Not an expert myself, but some more info: what you'll need depends a bit on what you want to have. I don't know the All-in-one UUNP working vagina version from here, but at nexus is a mod collection (it has a version for CBBE bodies too) that might give you a better image what a body mod has and doesn't have and different versions of what you can get.

Even if you're not intrested in any physics stuff, you probably want non-vanilla textures for example.

 

Bodyslide and clothes: again, depends on. What you've seen with CBBE is the result when you use a custom body with non-bodyslide clothes. You could use a CBBE body and UNP clothes and get "the same" result, meaning that your custom CBBE body is overwritten by the clothes and has the default UNP body, or vice versa. Clothes replace the body by default as long as they cover it as mentioned above, there shouldn't be any clipping.

But there is another more advanced way for many clothes: you can hit the batch build button and the clothes will even fit your custom body, within some limits at least. Especially with very large hips i had some problems, but usually it will fit fine. Search for "CBBE/(U)UNP conversion", that should give you a large list of clothes that will fit your custom body.

My favorite collection here is Luxury collection, it has versions for both UNP and CBBE and a lot of clothes/armors, i think everybody can find there something.
