Because I send hours trying to find outfits/clothes that work with their mesh destroying boobs of power. Not to mention the rarity of them glorious epically huge tits will wear off with each new sim. Jack-Rich Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 THE Sims publisher, EA, has banned mods that are behind any form of paywall. The Sims franchise community has long had disputes over whether players should pay custom content creators for their work. Due to the fact that custom content relies on the intellectual property of Electronic Arts, lots of fans lean towards a Free Content Only verdict. Now, Electronic Arts have officially weighed in. On Aug. 2, 2022, Electronic Arts released a post clarifying their feelings on Mods and the monetization of them. This comes after some renewed community drama around custom content creators aggressively defending their perceived entitlement to charge for their work. The problem comes in that EA asserts that these modders do not, in fact, have the entitlement to charge for their labor. This is because custom content and mods made by these players use The Sims 4 as a base for their designs. Effectively, they are making content with the copyright of EA. This included mod creators placing trackers inside of their mods to pull private information of those downloading their mods. There were even discords that shared these downloaders' personal details in chat. Obviously, this created a major ethical problem that Electronic Arts did not want to be held responsible for. 1 Article part: It's not as if Electronic Arts had never stated their stance of paying for mods and custom content. They had just never done so in explicit terms as part of their policy standards. That has now changed and players have no justification to continue charging for their content. Additionally, any mods or custom content published by modders must no longer contain copyrighted EA content, like the Plumbob. Downloading, Marijuana, Cocaine and other drugs and sharing you can think of is mostly illegal. 2 Article part: Is extreme violence and wicked whims banned!! These types of mods have deeply disturbing content, are not authorized by EA, and their use violates our User Agreement. If we detect players using this kind of mod content, they will no longer be able to play the game and will face permanent EA account bans.... 3 Article part: Electronic Arts has become aware that a certain mod developer is selling mods with adult content to children for double the money. Young kids aged 13 and 14 in the UK play the following mod packs in the game whimsical and despicable desires mod packs. It is common for children's parents to have no idea what mods are activated in their child's game. 4 Article part: The Sims has a keen modding community – essentially, hobbyist game developers who add fan-made content to existing games. EA appears to want to crack down on people modding the game, saying modders can only recoup development costs via passive advertisements and links for donations on their websites. The update to The Sims’ terms of service states: "All users must be able to access the mods in full for free regardless of whether they donate. "Mods must be non-commercial and distributed free-of-charge. Mods cannot be sold, licensed, or rented for a fee, nor can mods contain features that would support monetary transactions of any kind." The Sims 4 has many unique characters without mods including werewolves. 5 Article part: If stricter guidelines are being enforced, it could mean that fewer mods for The Sims will become available. Additionally, EA has also banned the use of official The Sims assets, such as logos or promotional images, to advertise mods. So, genuine users, don't forget to open the settings option and check off those online-related options... Technically, it is really possible for the authorities to arrest you. ?
